The owners of the farm, Alessandra and Andrea, live in the main farmhouse with their children and work the farm producing organic extra virgin olive oil. They have restored the two farm cottages using local materials in keeping with an authentic country style - in total they sleep 8 plus a sofabed for a further 2. You will be staying on a real farm, where you are provided with comfort and care, but don’t come expecting wifi and televisions! If you’re interested, you can even help out on the farm – eg in November during the olive harvest or in spring to prune the olive trees. If you love nature, art, hiking and good food, then this is the place for you - it is not your average villa in Tuscany! |

There is plenty to do in the surrounding area to cater for all tastes and interests. The owners can suggest hiking and cycling routes and there is horse riding nearby. They can also give advice on local towns of interest, places to visit, restaurants etc. Arezzo is just 15 minutes drive and is a fascinating town of Etruscan and Roman origins. There are numerous medieval villages in the surrounding area where you can often find locally made products. |

There are two cottages, each of which can sleep 5 people. All bedrooms are very comfortable with large beds. All beds can be either doubles or singles. Cottage one has two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and is 55sqm. There is also a sofa bed. Cottage two has one double and one triple bedroom and a bathroom with shower, as well as a sofabed and is 75sqm. Each cottage has a well equipped kitchen and living area with wood burning stove. Wood for the stove is provided and fans where necessary. Cot, cot bed and high chair are all available on request.

Each apartment has a terrace with wooden table and chairs where you can have your meals in the garden and there are deck-chairs for relaxing. A barbecue and two mountain-bikes are at your disposal. You are of course welcome to explore the 20 hectares of farmland.

Galealpe is immersed in nature yet just 15 minutes drive from the ancient medieval town of Arezzo. Anghiari and Cortona are just 45 km away. Siena is a 90 minute drive.

Conditions of Rental |
50% deposit due on booking. Minimum stay two nights. Price includes electricity, hot water, gas, wood for the stove, weekly linen change and final cleaning. Heating is extra. We are happy to do some food shopping on your behalf before your arrival if you send us a list. For an extra cost we can provide a babysitting service, extra cleaning / linen change, washing and a taxi service.
