General Info |
|
| |
This antique complex dates back almost a thousand years to when it was a castle. Restored to a very high standard it is run personally by the owners who are always on hand to ensure that you make the most out of your stay. There are never more than 10 guests on the property at any one time and children should be over 14. It is an ideal place for couples and a romantic honeymoon! Cellole is excellently placed approximately half way between Florence and Siena and about half an hour drive to both. Lucca and Pisa are an hour away whilst S.Gimignano, Certaldo Alto and Colle Vald’Elsa to name but a few of the smaller jewels of Tuscany are nearby making this an ideal centre for art and history lovers. Good food and wine connoisseurs will not be disappointed, there are numerous restaurants in the area, the nearest being just ten minutes away at Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. Not your average villa in Tuscany! |

What visitors have said about Castellare di Cellole Polvereto |
| |

Chuck and I each look like that now that we have returned from Italy to the US with several popunds and inches added to our bodies. I think we ate our way through the country and along the Med. I keep meaning to write to you to tell you what an outstanding time we had with you at Cellole. We especially enjoyed getting to know you and Mauro and our conversations while sipping wine on the patio. I think Chuck would give anything to hop on a plane and follow Mauro around the Olive grove on a small tractor doing handy work on the property. For me it would be gardening and cooking!!! . . . and exploring more of the countryside. Your place is terrific and being treated to a look at the "church" was defiinitely the highlight of the visit ... if not our whole trip. We have told so many people about it. I actually have your post card on my desk. Whenever I need to escape my return to reality I take a look at it!!! We look forward to the day we can return,

Just wanted to say again that we had a really lovely holiday at San Andrea a Cellole - it was really nice to come back and know where everything was and not waste time going to places we didn't want to. The garden and pool are lovely, of course, and we found it really relaxing. I really didn't want to leave on Saturday. Thank you so much again for all your help while we were with you. We were all especially thrilled to see the Church - thank you for that.

Leaving Cellole was bittersweet, while we felt like we completely relaxed, we miss seeing both you and Mauro on a daily basis. Our friend Marc mentioned that Masha's wedding was beautiful, and the the weather was glorious! I am glad everything held out for the bride . I wanted to attach some pictures of Mauro, while he was signing one of the First Editions of "CELLOLE." I also wanted to attach a picture of Joe and the puppies, very cute... I hope all is going well, we are certainly planning on coming back next year.
