Monteriggioni is a classical Italian walled village and has a wealth of culture to explore. If you can be there for the medieval festival in July then that really is a wonderful experience! Tuscany and Chianti are areas of great natural scenery and from the impressive hill of Volterra to the churches dotted around the countryside there is always much to see and enjoy. The family that runs the business is wonderful! It's our second stay with them and they take care of everything. Very relaxing environment and friendly people. Lovely!

We all wanted to thank you very much for the beautiful time we spent in Poggiarello last week. We sure had a memorable time which we will cherish for many years to come. We all enjoyed the facilities very much and the kids voted the food at Poggiarello to be the best on our trip which says much as our kids are tough to please.
Harel Family, Apr 2011

Thank you for making our visit to Poggiarello such a pleasure. You made us feel like one of the family.

We are all very well rested after our great stay at Poggiarello over the last two weeks.
This is just a quick note to thank everyone there who made us all feel so welcome and comfortable.

We have quite literally fallen in love with Poggiarello, we have spent weeks there at a time while exploring Italy... We can't say enough about the entire family of Nino the owner... you come here for an authentic Tuscan experience... it's not a fancy resort, so don't expect that... here you get amazing home made food, beautiful ambience, a very comfortable apartment and the best cappuccino Ive ever had! And it's so centrally located once you get off the rural road which has been paved! Can't recommend it enough!

The meals were perfect. The room was extremely clean and the staff were what I expected, very friendly. The price, superb.

Couldn't be better. Our bedrooms were beautiful. We each had a large room with tiled floors, a large wardrobe and a kingsize bed. The mattresses were firm but comfortable. All of the buildings of the property were part of an ancient village originating in the 15th and 16th centuries.
The views were breathtaking. When you looked out of your bedroom window, it looked as if large mats of green velvet were stiched together and laid onto rolling hills...it was so beautiful it almost looked surreal. At night, in the distance you could see hilltop villages with shimmering lights, and in the day, you could see roving groups of sheep which looked like miniature white ants moving across the hills.
The hotel is clean, very well run, has friendly staff who are more than eager to make your stay perfect in every way, and you just can't get a better location in Tuscany.
