Sitting on the large veranda with the building glowing in the warm evening light, you will know why we called it Pietraluna - Moonstone. Built entirely from the traditional rosy white stone of Puglia, this superbly restored Trullo sits on a beautiful hillside with panoramic views over olive groves. |

General Info |

This luxurious retreat is only 5 minutes drive from the centre of Alberobello, the beautiful small town in the heart of Valle d'Itria that is a World Heritage Centre - 'Capitale dei Trulli'. The large eight cone Trullo stands at the top of its own field of olive, almond & other fruit trees, and commands a wonderful view across fields of olive groves as far as you can see. The restoration has been meticulous, retaining the best of the original features whilst adding high quality modern facilities. The beautiful stonework is now exposed, all the rooms are on one level with no steps and there is full normal headroom throughout. The new 49 sq metre extension comprising a large light fully fitted dining kitchen, house bathroom and the wonderful arched veranda has been built in hand-worked local stone to a style that beautifully complements the original structure. |

Puglia (ancient Apulia) is real Italy and here in the Valle D'Itria you will find something of interest in every town, from the amazing heart of quaint Alberobello, to Castellana Grotte - largest cave system in Italy, Putignano - carnival city, Ostuni - white city with breathtaking views, Locorotondo - white wine capital, Polignano a Mare - one of many stunning seaside towns through to the bustle of Martina Franca with its fabulous historic centre, expensive shops, classical music festival and much more. Puglia is an enchanting region in the heel of Italy, with beautiful beaches, bustling cities and astonishing towns. This rural region verdant with olive groves, vineyards and orchards is still essentially 'old' Italy. The landscape is full of history - castles, forts, ports and incredible magnificent cathedrals & churches are dotted around the landscape, along with the unique Trulli of the Valle D'Itria. |

Hello David - We had a wonderful time in your Trullo, it's absolutely beautiful and the best self catering accomodation we have ever stay in, by far ! And we've stayed in plenty. It had lots of character, was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. You have thought of everything and we especially liked your information book, which we referred to several times for days out. The town of Sassi and The White Grotto being our favourites, plus the superb Onda Blu beach! Puglia is beautiful and very very hot in August! Need lots of suncream. The people are friendly and the ice-cream delicious! Think we tried every flavour! It's great for families with plenty of things to do, which meant everyone was happy. Many thanks

We had a wonderful holiday in your trulli – what a wonderful home you have there. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and very comfortable. We tried many of the restaurants you suggested, most of them were great.
Thanks again I am sure we will be back.

We had such as lovely time staying at Casa-Pietraluna. The website pictures are quite accurate with no scary surprises. We have been to the area several times, since my husband’s family is nearby. Your home was so tranquil and peaceful, it really made it feel like a holiday not just visiting relatives. Your restaurant suggestions were right on, and thoroughly enjoyed the ones we went to. Nearby Locorotondo and Ostuni were enjoyable visits. My daughter enjoyed the Zoo Safari in nearby Fasano. Wish we stayed longer! Would love to come back next year.
