These is just two of four apartments in this building, all of which are available to let. Sleeping from 2 – 6 people, the apartments are located amid the old quarter where no cars are allowed (public car parks are only 3 minutes away by foot). Porlezza - with its picturesque houses, red tiled roofs and its old church tower is situated in the lakes area at the north of Italy – by the pristine Italian Alps and on the banks of Lake Lugano. The town is small & tranquil, yet bustling with life. Around the old city centre are many cafes and restaurants, and along its streets are little appetizing delicatessens, bakeries and charming little shops. A lively market takes place in the streets every Saturday and in the summer there is a weekly fair of antiques and handcrafts. |

The lake's shining waters are very inviting and some enjoy renting a boat and sailing to take pleasure in the unique view of the tall Alpine mountains surrounding from all directions, the picturesque medieval towns scattered around with their chapel bell towers. Lake Como is a short traveling distance (only 12km), and tourists can enjoy tour around the ancient towns to absorb the medieval charm. The town's unspoiled surrounding area is rich with outdoor activities (available in both of Italy and Switzerland). Residence Rezia is just steps from the waters of lovely Lake Lugano, which can be easily enjoyed for swimming, water sports, sunbathing and even just strolling along the waterfront. Menaggio Golf Club with its 18 hole golf course, can be found just 12 km from Porlezza. Menaggio itself is a small town on Lake Como, and is just 12km away. Lugano (Switzerland) is 18 km away. Milan is 85km away. |

Getting There:
| Porlezza is just 15 - 20 minutes drive (22 km) from Lugano to the west, whose airport offers connecting flights to Zurich, Frankfurt, Paris and Rome. It is possible to commute between Porlezza to Lugano with public transportation via Como city by bus or ferry, as well as rent a vehicle and drive there. It is also possible to fly into Milan's International Airports (Malpensa/Linate/Bergamo), from which a car ride to porlezza is only 2 hours. There are also frequent trains from Milan to Como City (The journey takes only 35 mins from Malpensa/Linate). |

Both apartments are ‘monolocale’ (open plan), divided into 2-3 open levels connected by stairs. Each has kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom. There is satellite TV, gas central heating and air conditioning. The kitchens are well equipped and linen / towels are provided. The first floor apartment with views from both bedroom and living room has high ceiling and an open plan interior. There is one double bedroom, and a double sofa bed and the apartment still has its original 500 year old terracotta floor. The view from the windows are to the lake, mountains and surrounding gardens.
The ground floor apartment has a large comfortable kitchen with a big window overlooking the garden. Again, there is one double bedroom and a double sofa bed for a further two people. The apartment retains its traditional feel with a 500 year old chestnut girder which stretches across the apartment. There are two more apartments to let in the same house.

Porlezza is one of the pearls of the Lombardy region. Situated on the banks of the Italian side of Lugano Lake, at the heart of the beautiful Valsolda Valley; it is a charming small place in a marvelous setting. Living in Porlezza allows you to enjoy both Italy and Switzerland at the same time. From spring throughout the autumn the surrounding mountains are green and flowers blossom all around. Hikers & cyclers are welcome to explore the flora & fauna and admire the views. Churches are scattered all over the surrounding mountains, and sun bathing is available within walking distance. In the summer you can enjoy the warm days, as well as the cool breezes during evening times. The town is surrounded by a beautiful boardwalk, with a playground for children in its center. Along the promenade, one can bathe in the clear waters, fish, rest, or drink a coffee in one of the cafés along the waterfront.
