There are two properties available for rent; a studio which sleeps up to 3, and the Gallery which sleeps up to 5. The rooms are large and light with vaulted ceilings and tiled floors. With both mountain and sea air, legend has it that Bussana Vecchia is so called because it is built on the site of a Roman Villa which was called 'Bissana.' (Twice healthy). Nice airport is an hour away by motorway, Monte Carlo half an hour. Genoa's new airport is about an hour and half. There are good beaches a mile away and 15 to 20 minutes drive inland brings you to age old forests, chestnut groves, ruined castles and villages perched precariously among olive groves. |

The nearest town is Arma di Taggia. (3km) San Remo is just 6km away with its Casino, Golf course and has excellent restaurants and nightlife. There are lots of beaches to choose from, the nearest of which is just 1.5 km. Your location is ideal for exploring surrounding Italy, as well as the south of France. Nice boasts some excellent museums, Montecarlo can treat you to operas and ballets, Cannes is home to one of the world’s greatest film festivals. Exploring the North of Italy, you can visit Turin (Sindone shroud, Museum of Modern Art), Milan (Scala, Museums), Genoa (Aquarium, Opera house). For those in search of action, horse riding, go karting, sailing, endless other watersports, hiking, cycling etc are all on your doorstep. For countryside culture there are Roman remains, beautiful gardens, forests, churches and hill villages. In winter you can even head to Limone and other ski resorts for a day out skiing or snowboarding. |

Getting There:
| The nearest airport is Nice which is 50km (I hour by car). Genoa Airport, served by Ryanair, 1.5 to 2hours by car. The nearest train station and the motorway exit are 3km away. If you are driving from Nice: go past San Remo on the autostrada. Come off at the next exit Arma di Taggia. If from Genoa come off at Arma di Taggia before San Remo. In either case do not follow the first sign to San Remo, coming down from the motorway, go to Arma di Taggia, at the junction, turn right towards San Remo. Go across the traffic lights in Arma and through the tunnel. The sea is on your left. Go past the hospital on your right. Approx 100m after the pedestrian bridge across the Aurelia and the bus stop. Turn right, just before the Carrefour supermarket. Follow the road through the new village of Bussana Nuova and sign posts to Bussana Vecchia. |

The studio is ideal for a couple, or a couple with a small child. It is one large room with five windows (90sqm), a regency sofa, and rocking chair. The cooking area includes a gas stove (no oven), a fridge and a washing machine. There is a separate bathroom. There is a child’s bed and linen is provided. The Gallery is made up of two large rooms interconnecting through doorless arches. Again, the cooking area includes a gas stove (no oven) and a fridge (no washing machine). Large sun terrace with furniture and barbeque, for exclusive use of guests. Meadow at entrance of village for children to play, overlooked by a vine grown terrace of the bar restaurant, where parents can keep an eye on them while having a drink or meal.

Great vacation, extraordinary village! Many thanks once again for the wonderful vacation! We´ve enjoyed our time very much - romantic appartment, great view from the balcony, breakfast outside and long grill-evenings! Colin - I have been back in work for two days and holidays seem so far away! Just a brief email to thank you for providing the accommodation and say how much Lesley and I enjoyed it. Compared to the more basic, but nevertheless enjoyable, accommodation we had in the Alps during the second week, your studio was real value.
