What visitors have said about Casa Rosa

It's very special to be the first visitors to Casa Rosa. A delightful and welcoming house, restored with so much thought and attention to detail. We love the house, its spectacular views, the local people, the life. Sad to leave but looking forward to a return visit.
Tony & Felicity,    Blandford Forum, Dorset,    Aug 2003

We've had a wonderful time and can't believe how peaceful the house is. It's made a perfect base for exploring the mountains. We've loved coming back after a hard day's slog to a cold beer while watching the sun set.
Nick & Veryan,    London,    May 2007

We've had a fabulous and busy holiday, exploring the Marche and loving the stunning scenery and hilltop towns. Would love to return one day - still lots to see. Casa Rosa is a wonderful welcoming house.
Francis & Sue,    Salisbury, Wilts,    Sep 2003

We have had an inspiring week here. This was a calm and yet thoughtful week in a deeply rich (in many senses) part of Italy. Do try the drive from Sarnano up to Lago di Fiastro and over the top via Pintura.
Richard & Mary,    Dorset,    Jul 2008

Have really appreciated all the hard work you have put into making Casa Rosa such a welcome and delightful treat. Perhaps not as active as some of your other guests but we needed to 'chill' and this could not have been a more perfect spot - worth every kilometre of the 1200-mile drive.
Julian & Emma,    Kent,    Oct 2003

Although we flew into Pescara to a chilly spell, the warmth of the Italian hospitality in Montottone has more than made up for it. Serena at La Brocca restaurant has a charming way of translating the menu. The scenery on our walks has been breathtaking, from hilltop towns to the autumnal hues of the Sibillini mountains. The deserted beaches are just right for mad English walkers taking a picnic under the palms. We have witnessed this year's final olive pick - a fascinating ritual, nets and all. As for Casa Rosa, set your alarms for sunrise - it beats sunset.
Anne & Tony ,    Salisbury, Wilts,    Nov 2008

The house is lovely, in an incredible setting. Food at La Brocca and Al Chiara di Luna was marvellous and very cheap. Above all, the people are so friendly and welcoming. Highlights of our trip included the drive from Grottazzolina to Amandola, then Montemonaco – stunning views. The view from the top of Fermo of the sea and the mountains . . . I could go on forever. We will return in the summer!
Tom and Philippa,    London,    Jan 2003

Wow! This place is amazing – beautiful, comfortable house with views from every window. We have had a most enjoyable, relaxing week here. Tried to combine mountain sightseeing with lazy strolls on the beach. How many flavours of ice-cream can you sample in one day? Great fun at markets watching ladies of a certain age looking to recapture trimmer times by trying on 'oh-so-chic' luminous winkle-picker stilettos. Serena in La Brocca a favourite, with her wonderfully expressive eyes and hand gestures. So much to see and do, we have to return.
Iain & Marilyn ,    Plymouth, Devon,    Apr 2004

We have wended our way round many a bend to beautiful hilltop villages, towns and cities in sunshine, thunder, wind and sleet. We have eaten far too much – the best meals by far being at Al Chiaro di Luna (wild boar pasta and stuffed olives). Breakfast overlooking the Sibillini has got to be one of the many highlights.
Gareth, Di and Alison,    Bournemouth, Dorset,    May 2004

Casa Rosa is the quintessence of peace and tranquillity. We especially enjoyed the early morning sun over the olive groves and vines, and the spectacular sunsets over the Sibillinis. Highlights included the lower piazza in Sarnano and the stylish Art Deco Café Meletti in the Piazza del Popolo in Ascoli Piceno – almost deserted. A lunchtime pasta served by three octogenarians in Da Quintilia Mercuri in Montefalcano Appenino was also excellent for its atmosphere of 'times past'.
Rosie, Cathy and Brian ,    Wiveliscombe, Somerset,    Jul 2004

Back for a summer trip this time, we found Casa Rosa even more comfortable and relaxing. Having had ten days, we accrued some particular recommendations: 1, Boat trip to Le Due Sorelle from Numana (bit pricy but the pebble beach was nice); 2, Cycling from Montottone to Monsampietro Morico to Belmonte Piceno to Monte Leone di Fermo to Montelparo to Monte Rinaldo to Ortezzano and back – not for the faint-hearted; 3, Walking in the Sibillini Mountains (we did Infernal Gorge to Smiling Valley); 4, Palio in Fermo – historic festival with a spectacular horse race through the town streets; 5, Finally, try a local watermelon, if you can, and fruit salad, ice-cream and Maraschino liqueur!
Tom and Philippa,    London,    Aug 2004

Words cannot begin to express the joy and happiness we have found here over a few days to mark a special birthday. It has been a glorious confusion of laughter, sunshine, huge and magnificent meals and the sense that Casa Rosa showered blessings on us all. True magic.
Peter, Dee and Jonathan,    Dorchester, Dorset,    Sep 2004

We drove from England. We’d been told firmly: ‘Do not arrive in the dark!’ But we did! By accident – too much sightseeing en route at San Marino and Urbino. So the next morning we experienced the ‘wow’ factor! ‘Which shutter shall we open next?’ Glorious views met us from every window and angle. We have enjoyed the tranquillity and beauty of this amazing countryside, dawdling about on foot and in the car to see what is growing, how and why. We have had a lovely week’s holiday in your relaxing and happy home. We have thoroughly enjoyed it.
Norman and Margaret,    Salisbury, Wiltshire,    Oct 2004

Couldn't have wished for a more blissful way to spend five days away from the daily grind of London. Casa Rosa exceeded my expectations: it is truly perfect!
Claudia ,    London,    Mar 2008

What a wonderful Christmas we have had! We are so jealous of your super house and amazing views. A superb area, lovely friendly people - Marche has so much to offer.
Richard & Annie,    Shaftesbury, Dorset,    Dec 2004

Another fantastic time at Casa Rosa - lots of time spent sitting on the great terrace just looking at the view. The highlight, though, has to be walking in the Sibillini mountains again. Absolutely breathtaking and memories that will stay with us for ever.
Tom & Philippa,    London,    Jan 2005

Had a wonderful time, blessed with the most incredible weather, waking us up every morning to the most stunning views and watching the sun set with a glass of wine. The perfect antidote to London life.
