This villa in Italy was built in the XVI century and the towers were added at the side in the XVIII. It was once the property of the nobles Caiselli and Belgrado, but has been in the family since the mid XIX century. The Villa was seriously damaged by the 1976 earthquake, completely restored and now represents the typical Friulian residence of a country gentleman. The villa is now based on a working farm which produces wine, organic kiwi fruits and grains. |

Villa Corèn is 10 Km north-east of Udine and 11 Km from Cividale del Friuli, near the hills and a short distance from the mountains and numerous places of great historical and artistic interest and natural beauty. The local towns are all worth visiting as they are teeming with wonderful restaurants and interesting history. |

In the large building that used to be the wine cellar and hay barn there are now six apartments, each sleeping from 2 to 5 people. There are also two bedrooms available in the main house during the summer months. The larger apartments have two bedrooms and one bathroom on the first floor, and a large living room and well equipped kitchen area on the ground floor. All the larger apartments have an open fireplace and direct access to a private garden. Smaller apartments are on the first floor – with one bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom – they also have access to a private garden. There is a room with whirlpool and sauna (shared with the other guests) and a small meeting room for up to 20 people. Satellite TV and wireless internet available throughout.

The villa is surrounded by 5000 square metres of garden and a small park, and is completely enclosed by a wall. All around the house there are vineyards and kiwi gardens. Each apartment has a private garden and bbq and access to a shared swimming pool from Summer 2010.

Further Details |
We have an average-size farm - about 63 hectares - growing grapes for wine (Friuli Grave D.O.C. - Controlled Denomination of Origin). All the wine is produced on the farm itself. We also have biologically grown kiwis, almost totally for export, plus cereals and soya. The fields are all around the Villa and the farm, and form a significant agricultural centre only 10 minutes from Udine.
