General Info |
|
| |
The most wonderful characteristics of the Casale are the peace and quiet during the summer and the cool breeze over the hill, 600 metres above sea level. The location gives you a picturesque backdrop and a wonderful view.
From the Casale you have views all around: at the north, the village of Montepagano with its late sixteenth century “Annunziata’s dome”. To the east, the Adriatic Sea coast that stretches out from Roseto to Pescara and beyond. In the south you can see the wide Vomano River valley and the countryside of the Abruzzo region, with its many fascinating towns - Silvi, Atri, Cermignano to name but a few. Behind them is the enchanting Maiella mountain in the Chieti area. In the west sit the beautiful Gran Sasso mountains. |

Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation |
|
| |
Roseto degli Abruzzi is a seaside resort in the middle of Italy, located on the Adriatic coast in Abruzzo. The town of Roseto faces the Gran Sasso mountain and together with its outlying village of Cologna, is located between the estuaries of the rivers Tordino and Vomano. Abruzzo is the perfect destination for tourists attracted by unspoilt scenery. The area has breathtaking beaches (especially in May, June and September) and is surrounded by low-lying hills, a multitude of vineyards and Gran Sasso, the highest mountain of the Appennines. Medieval untouched villages and art towns are always alluring places to explore and Rome and the beautiful Tremiti island are also within easy reach. Every year since 1999, thanks to its clean and blue sea, the town of Roseto has been awarded with the blue flag. |

Further Details |
There is lots worth visiting in Montepagano, including what remains of the belfry of the ruined church of St. Agostino and the church of Annunziata, built in the XVIth century. Inside the church there are very interesting wooden statues and a big silver cross from the art school of Teramo. Its beautiful dome, which towers over the hill of the town, is visible from far away. Today Roseto degli Abruzzi, with its countless hamlets and villages, is the biggest town, as far as the number of people is concerned, of Teramo’s province. Montepagano is still the old centre, well preserved, from where you can have spectacular views over the sea and over the nearby mountains of Maiella and Gran Sasso. Old pedestrian paths connect the old village of Montepagano with the new town of Roseto.
