Holiday rentals in Kerry

County Kerry is commonly known as ‘the Kingdom’ and it is magnificent. Holiday rentals here are in the heart of one of the most scenic areas of Ireland, and there are attractions for every visitor, from hikers and mountaineers, to families and tourists. If all you desire is a beach with a picturesque backdrop, a traditional Irish pub and some distinctive little shops and galleries then holiday rentals in Dingle or Killarney will suit you down to the ground. Killarney, a big town with lots of pubs and local festivals on offer, can be busy in peak season but this is a testament to its timeless appeal! Dingle, a harbour town, is smaller and more unique but is nonetheless a destination for excellent restaurants, long-established ice cream shops and attractions for children. If you’re game for a little more activity, why not look at holiday rentals along the length of the Kerry Way? This is a 215km trail from which there are unrivalled views and whether you walk some or all of it you are guaranteed to experience nature at its best. Or you could drive round the Ring of Kerry, where the progress is quicker but the coastal scenery no less stunning.

More about your Kerry holiday...

The region of Kerry, characterised by peninsulas and coastline, is also mountainous and it boasts two of Ireland’s three highest peaks. Most holiday rentals come with a view of these spectacular stacks and if you’re feeling adventurous why not consider climbing one! Carrauntoohil is the highest of these and is not for the faint-hearted; in fact experience is a must. But some of the others are more accessible and there is something for everyone (make sure you keep an eye on the weather though – it can change fast!). If you prefer breaks which are more scenic than strenuous then Kerry holiday rentals have lots to offer. The Blasket Islands are exceptional for bird-watching, the ancient beehive huts along the coast are well-preserved reminders of Kerry’s past and the monastery on Skellig Michael, an island off the coast, is like nothing you have ever seen.
