General Info |

An Teach Ban, "the white house" in Irish, is situated on a quiet country road running along the shores of Kingstown Bay which is an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean 5 miles north of Clifden, the Capital of Connemara. It is just off the famous Sky Road that hugs the coast between Clifden and Kingstown.
The house sits on its own with an uninterrupted view of the bay and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. Looking left and eastwards from the house you see the Twelve Pins Mountain range. You are just 15 minutes from Clifden, the Connemara National Park and its stunning hiking trails, Cleggan and the ferry to the islands and 30 minutes from the truly amazing Connemara Golf Club. |

Getting There:
| If you plan on coming to the West of Ireland you need a car. The new motorway from Dublin to Galway makes the trip from Dublin's international airport much easier. Shannon is a smaller and less busy alternative and you could stop off for a night and visit the Cliffs of Moher and the lunar landscape of the Burren.

We had the most wonderful trip and the highlight was staying at your cottage. It could not have been more perfect. We enjoyed everything about the area especially local walks and a hike up Diamond Hill. Thank you for making it all possible.

We've spent a wonderful time at your lovely cottage from 14 to 21 August. Thank you! The location is really beautiful and we appreciate all the comfort that An Teach Ban brought us. Fresh fish (mackerel and lobster) from the local fisheries, prepared in a well equipped kitchen, it was all an exceptional experience. This year we were only the two of us but we would like to share with our family this absolutely fabulous place.

We arrived home safely having spent perhaps one of our most memorable holidays in An Teach Ban. The cottage exceeded our expectations in terms of location, layout, furnishings and cleanliness. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and most enjoyable holiday. We hope to return next year should the cottage be available. We have also shared with members of our family our experience and I should not be surprised if you do not receive further enquiries. Once again thanks for making An Teach ban available to us.
