General Info |
|
| |
The house has been newly designed for the individual, group or families. Its views look over to the sea and up hills onto cared for woodland, ponds and rivulets, occasionally hares are seen leaping and bounding from the earth. As sun the rises in the southeast part of the country it streams into the windows dashing its sparkling lights against the walls. There are plenty of places to stand quietly or wander freely, so you can walk through the land crossing ancient old paths, or climbing the peninsula, to the calling sounds of herring gulls, sliding on the incoming waves. |

Exterior Details |
Being an organic farm of 80 acres surrounded on three sides by the sea, South Reen Farm offers a very private and peaceful location. It's a wholly natural world here where the invitation is extended to walking over the plush green Irish hills, or standing at the edge of the land fishing in secluded quietness. And what's so lovely are the spacious empty beaches, but for the oyster catchers padding along the shiny wet soaked sand. Within minutes you can head up to the cliff tops and just sit there looking out at the Ocean heaving and turning over in rolls, to break open and spread out wide before you. Gazing back over stone walls below some small hills are hidden lakes, lying deep in the woodland. In walking distance for fishing, whale watching and sea kayaking.

Further Details |
Qigong ("chee gong") could be described as a sequence of soft movements combining visualization. The mental work is the qigong through the visualization, this allows healing to occur by moving the qi through the blockages, clearing the meridians and traveling deep into the body. The physical movements bring flexibility and balance, while exercising the whole body. In Qigong the practice is both static and dynamic and brings a profound peace and quiet. Ann Shaw has been living in Ireland for twenty-two years. She became guardian of South Reen Farm and retreat house in 2001 and the project is ongoing. Ann has practiced various qigong forms since 1998. A qualified teacher of Soaring Crane qigong and Essence Qigong, she recently returned from San Francisco having completed the first advanced training certification for Soaring Crane Qigong teachers with Professor Chen, Hui Xian her original Qigong teacher.
