The Clos Saint Saourde lies down the Mont Ventoux, facing the Dentelles de Montmirail, and is surrounded by the vineyards of the famous “Muscat de Beaumes de Venise” wine. This is a very special place surrounded by unspoiled nature, and everything about it is just magical, from the spring and the big plane tree to the dry stone walls and the square courtyard. Admire the exceptional views as you wallow in the luxurious heated salt water swimming pool, and let your cares melt away. And when you decide to venture out, the cities of Avignon, Carpentras, Orange, Isle sur la Sorgue and Vaison la Romaine are nearby, just waiting to be explored. The cottage itself is a haven of cool, contemporary, neutral colours and furnishings, set into tranquil natural stone and wooden surroundings. You couldn't hope for a more lovingly restored bolthole in more soothing and picturesque surroundings. |

Within a 40 minute drive there are endless wonderful Provencal places to visit. Go to Le Lubéron and its small villages : Gordes, Roussillon, Ménerbes, Lacoste, Bonnieux, Lourmarin. Head for Les Alpilles : Les Baux de Provence and its medieval village, St Rémy de Provence, Eygalières, Maussane. Or if wine is an interest, then try Le Mont Ventoux and the Cotes du Rhône road : chateauneuf du pape, Beaumes de Venise, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Cairanne, Rasteau…Between 2 and 20 minutes drive away we can recommend more than 10 of our favourite restaurants, catering for all sorts of budgets, tastes and atmospheres - a great meal for just 30 euros a head! |

The cottage has been beautifully restored and the original rock, into which the mas is built, is an inimitable feature of every room. Altogether the cottage can sleep 8-10 people so is perfect for families or groups of friends looking to escape. On the ground floor is a big living room with a cosy open fireplace and a bar as well as a fully equipped kitchen with an eating space. On the same floor you will find a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a shower room with an Italian shower and two wash basins. On the first floor is a family space which has twin beds, an office area, a DVD player and WiFi access. The first floor also has two more twin rooms and another shower room with the same mod cons.

Outside you will find the private swimming pool, heated and filled with salt water, and fenced for safety. Dotted around the pool area is a variety of wrought iron furniture, from a pergola and a table to deck and rattan chairs. There is a gas barbecue for enjoying lazy evening meals, space for private parking and the untouched landscape stretches out all around you. This is a heavenly setting.

Conditions of Rental |
La Grange is a non-smoking property and pets are not allowed. Rates include heating or climatisation, end of the week cleaning, swimming-pool cleaning, wood for the chimney and house linen (bed sheets, kitchen linen, towels and pool towels). During High Season, check-in is between 5pm and 7pm and departure is before 10am. Reservations become effective once the tenant has provided a down payment equivalent to 30% of the total price of the rental together with a signed copy of the agreement. The outstanding money will be payable at the latest 30 days before the start of the rental period. A deposit of € 1,500 will be payable on the first day of the rental; this amount will be reimbursed on the day of departure, minus any costs incurred. Every cancellation must be notified by registered mail. If the cancellation occurs less than four weeks before the start of the stay, the total of the amount payable will be charged.
