Le Trayas is a village built on the slopes of the Pic Martin, a hill at the foot of the the Esterel mountain range. The local coast line is known as the Cote d'Or, featuring the world famous Corniche d'Or, one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world. The Cote d'Or has innumerable small sandy bays, separated by dramatic cliffs. Beach, marina (possibility of boat rental), very good dining in nearby restaurants on the corniche, tennis, golf, mountain hiking/biking/horseback-riding/fishing, glitz and night life of Cannes (20 min by car)...in fact, any conceivable outdoor activity. The nearest golf course, in Mandelieu (15 min by car), is rightly called the "Old Course" since it was the first course on the Cote d'Azur. There are 10 golf courses within 45 min drive. |

| To reach Le Trayas by plane, fly into Nice, rent a car or connect to the train station.To reach Le Trayas by car, leave the motorway A8 at exit 40 (Mandelieu Centre), continue towards Théoule--sur--Mèr and then follow the coastal road to Trayas.To reach Le Trayas by train, take the train to Trayas station (the most romantic train stration in the world, pictured below). Fastest connection by TGV from Paris (change-over in St. Raphael) is 5:21 hours. |

Villa Miramar is in easy walking distance from the beach (2 min. by car), and only footsteps away from an entrance to the National Park de l'Esterel with fantastic hiking and mountain biking. The property features a modern interior (Designers Guild) - not something all villas in Provence can claim! There is a swimming pool 9x5 meters, and terraces for sunbathing and outdoor dining, set in a terraced Mediterranean garden.

We have stayed at quite a few rental properties and this is without doubt, one of the best homes you will find to rent in the area. Every comfort and mod con is there, the area is safe, private and quiet and the views from the house are breathtaking. (In the meantime, Mary & Michael bought a house nearby)
