A wonderfully romantic property, on an estate that contains cypress trees, Mediterranean oaks, pines and olive trees, with abundant herbs of thyme, rosemary, sage and lavender. A variety of indigenous flowers carpet the ground throughout the year and the tranquillity is unique. The perfect holiday hideaway... |

Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation |
|
| |
The small Mediaeval village of Cotignac is tucked away in the southern part of Provence and is about a 20 minute drive from the main Auto route that runs between Marseilles, Aix en Provence and Nice. St Tropez, Cannes and Nice are just over one hour's drive from Cotignac. To the north lies the Pre-Alps with the famous lavender fields, to the west are Arles and the Carmargue, passing through the historic town of Aix en Provence. Mont St. Victoire, which was the source of Cezanne's best paintings, lies just outside of Aix. Finally, to the East lies the Italian border, which is 90 minutes drive from Cotignac. Unlike many villas in Provence, here you are not surrounded by other tourists, but get a taste of the real Provencal life. |

What visitors have said about The Coach House |
| |
| |
We had a truly memorable stay. The Coach House is a true original thanks to the tasteful interior (filled with some wonderful antiques by the charming owners Eillen and Robert Self) and it's location. We have never stayed anyway quite so peaceful and tranquil. The only sounds we could hear were the birds in the surrounding olive groves and the bells from the monastery on the hillside. We have recommended it to a select few other couples who will really appreciate how special it is.
