With its own patio, garden and swimming pool, La Maison is completely private, but it retains the advantage of being part of La Maison du Paradou, which itself is a historic and charismatic place. The house is equipped so that you need never leave it, but if you do then right on your doorstep are the delights of Provence, from its culinary and cultural offerings to its beautiful scenery and enchanting towns and villages.   What visitors have said about La Maison Bleue

We were looking for a luxury inn halfway between Toulouse and Nice on a loop through southern France, and lucked on La Maison du Paradou--and I do mean luck. We are former inn owners ourselves, and we know how hard it is to do hospitality well. Nick and Andrea have done this better than well. The house is both fascinating and beautiful, the location perfect for exploring Provence, and the breakfasts are great. If you like a swimming pool, the one at Paradou is beautiful, and there's even a private little villa near it for longer stays. Everything is spotless. Andrea and Nick are both technologically savvy and offer free Internet access as well as a movie viewing system that puts even five-star hotels to shame. And there's no extra charge for any of it--bravo.
Jun 2011

We travelled from the north to the south of the country and stayed at some incredible places with some lovely people. Nick and Andrea's property is no exception. Lovely people, home, rooms, pool and breakfast big enough for anyone which is a continental affair. Andrea's baking is great and both Nick and Andrea are a wealth of information for all the best things to do in the area. We only stayed for one night as they were fully booked but our hosts were on the phone trying to find us a place to stay for the next few nights.
May 2011

Despite travelling to many places, I rarely submit reviews as the majority of hotels simply do an OK job - there's nothing wrong, but equally they can be a bit forgetable. However, this is not an accusation that can be levelled at La Maison. We have just returned from our second stay (4 nights this time) and found that the place was just as beautiful and relaxing as we'd remembered. Nick and Andrea have created a stunning home which they've turned into a hotel which they manage to run with an almost effortless charm (despite coming to the end of a long season). The house abounds with beautiful antiques, furniture and art that has been displayed with great style; the rooms and beds are stylish and very comfortable; the WiFi is free; there's an impressive media system in the rooms giving free access to hundreds of DVDs and CDs (you listening, other hotel owners?!); a wonderful pool and three friendly but non-intrusive dogs. If you go, your hosts will provide excellent restaurant and wine tips (leave The Bistro to the last night as it's tough to beat) and they'll also help with touring and shopping ideas. We've thought long and hard about how this place could improve and can't think of a single thing. Wonderful.
