This apartment on Rue du Malonat is a perfect bolthole in the heart of Nice, whatever the season. The south-facing apartment has 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to 5 people, and sits on the 2nd floor of a historic building, which gives the whole space an authentic feel with modern comforts. It is extremely well equipped for both long and short stays, with a bright spacious living room, an American-style corner kitchen, a bathroom with a nice big bath, a separate toilet, and good size double bedrooms with lots of storage. As for the location, it couldn’t be more perfect! You are literally a stone’s throw from the beautiful beaches of Nice, and also just a moment’s walk from the rest of the Old Town, full of popular attractions and monuments, as well as a huge selection of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. This is an ideal base for exploring the French Riviera and the delights of Nice itself. |

The most notable feature of this apartment’s interior is the stunning fresco ceiling in the living room. Experts who have assessed the painting date it from around 1750 and though they do not know who the artist was, they have agreed that it is rare to find such a work of art in such good condition in a private apartment. The bright, sunny ambience as well as the comfy furnishings, radio/CD and DVD player and television make this a wonderful room in which to relax. It also has a dining table and chairs for those lazy French dinners. The American-style corner kitchen is well equipped with everything you would expect including a dishwasher, washing machine and cafetiere. Both bedrooms have double beds and good storage space and there is also a fold up mattress bed available for an extra person. The bathroom has a shower, large corner bath and a double basin so is great for people sharing, and there is also a separate toilet.

The apartment is in a quiet pedestrianised street just a few hundred yards from all the attractions of the Vieux Nice, the most colourful, characterful and vibrant part of town. There you will find all the shops, bars and restaurants you could possibly need. Not only that but the beach and the Promenade des Anglais are just 200 metres away. The apartment couldn’t have a more convenient holiday location.

The apartment has been professionally restored throughout and all the furniture There is an entry phone system for security. To keep the apartment cooler on very hot days, all of the windows have the traditional external wooden shutters of the region. The internal windows are double-glazed. There are electric heaters in every room should you ever need them!
