The beautifully renovated 16th century farmhouse in Normandy of French/English couple Stephane and Kate Le Moigne and their family is situated on their working dairy farm. Having three young children of their own, Stephane and Kate have styled the farmhouse to offer chic yet practical accommodation, with an abundance of equipment provided to ensure a stress-free stay at any time of the year, including a huge outdoor Play Area and a recently completed indoor Play Barn. Beautifully renovated and decorated in a 'shabby chic' style, the Farmhouse interior offers a funky mix of vintage linens, rosebud prints and rustic hand-painted furniture. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay, from fragrant soap and fresh flowers to wi-fi access and iPod docks. Self-catering is available all year, with Bed & Breakfast offered outside of school holiday periods only, with a minimum stay of 2 nights. |

Located on the edge of a rural village, this gite in Normandy is situated in a tranquil country location, ideal for walking, biking or simply enjoying the simple pleasure that life in the country offers. For those seeking greater adventure, we are only 15 minutes from the Suisse Normande region, 25 minutes in the car will take you to Caen and the D-Day beaches, and in 40 minutes you will be in Bayeux or Deauville. Normandy also has many museums commemorating the D-day landings and some of the landing beaches are only 30 minutes away. Also not far is the world famous bayeux tapestry. We will be happy to recommend places in the local area to eat. If you find somewhere lovely while you’re out and about let us know and we'll add it to our site. For the active there are water sports, horse-riding, golf and even bungee-jumping. There are many family activities such as Zoos, indoor activity centres and miniature railways. |

Offering flexible accommodation over three floors, this Gite in Normandy is priced on three levels according to your party size. There is a ground floor suite with king size bed (for 2). The first floor has two bedrooms – a kingsize (for 2) and a twin (for 2 plus cot). The second floor has a double bedroom (also with extra single bed) and a further bedroom with two singles, a double trundle bed and a cot. There is TV, UK channels and DVD players in each bedroom. Hairdryer in each bedroom and hot drink making facilities. Outside the main school holiday periods, all bedrooms may be booked on a B&B basis.

There is a large enclosed sand-surfaced children's play area, equipped with a 16ft trampoline, swings, slide, see-saw, climbing frame, play houses and many other items to delight the youngsters. This is shared with our children, so your children will have little friends to play with during their holiday.
Meet the pets in our Pet Paddock; Minnie the Shetland pony, Billy, Lilly and Philly our trio of Silkie bantams and Marilyn the Buff Orpington hen. Watch the cows at milking time and have a go! Enjoy our new indoor play barn where children of all ages can enjoy the wide range of toys provided including table tennis and a sony playstation. Borrow one of our Mountain Bikes and take the children for a gentle pedal in the lane and forest adjacent to the farm. We have children's bikes, a baby seat, tag-along and even a bike trailer! Not your average gite in Normandy!

La Vieille Abbaye is home to a working dairy farm. We have a small on-site production unit which transforms milk from our cows into cream and where we also pasteurise and bottle milk for clients from Bayeux to Deauville. We farm around 600 acres and milk over 200 Holstein Friesian dairy cows. Milk from our herd is served to our bed and breakfast guests and is also available to purchase from our farm shop, along with free range eggs from our garden hens and farm-produced cream.
There is a whole host of items provided for children – from highchairs, pushchairs, blenders, potties and teething toys, to playstations, DVD’s, games and outdoor play equipment.

Prices are per week, Saturday to Saturday and include: bed linen and bathroom towels, utilities and firewood, welcome pack, baby equipment. Optional extras – baby listening service, evening meals, brunches.
