Beautifully nestled near the massif central of South west France, the house is located near the medieval town of Mur de Barrez. The area offers you the best of everything; beautiful varied scenery of mountains, rivers, lakes and forests provide every opportunity to make this a perfect spot for your holiday. The Carladez mountains, the Aubrac plateau, the Gorges de Truyere, the Lot valley will provide the backdrop to many activities, from a gentle walk to take in the unique flora and fauna, to hang-gliding from one of the Cantal peaks. For the little ones, there is a lovely safe swimming pool 3km away with a separate paddling pool, slide for repeated entertainment, a grassy field with climbing frames and some relaxing chairs for that much needed quiet moment. |

This area provides a blank canvas for a vast array of activities. The stage is set by many rivers, such as the Truyere and the Lot, lakes into which these rivers flow and the mountains of the Auvergne. From fishing for river trout to rock climbing or hang gliding, snow walking and skiing, anything is possible. The area is rich in walking and cycling routes, in varying degrees of intensity. ski lifts used for the obvious during the winter season, also operate during the summer months to take walkers or mountain bikers to the top. Of course, it is also possible to take the strain off the feet and do some trekking on horse or pony, or even hire a motor bike or quad to explore. There are some excellent golf courses nearby where the scenery tempts the eye away from the ball for even the most serious of golfers. |

A converted barn spread over three levels comprising three double bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, a large open plan living area with suspended terrace. The ground floor also has a separate bathroom. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, both of which open onto a private terrace with views over the Vallee de la Bromme, which is south facing. The third bedroom on the mezzanine floor has doors overlooking the valley (space for an extra futon bed in this room). There is an open plan living area with a fully equipped modern kitchen and large dining area, as well as a log burner for the chillier months. There are comfortable sofas where you can relax and watch the sun set over the valley.
