Further Details |
Originally built as a home for the Siregand d'Erce family, it retains the warm and inviting atmosphere of a home. Most of the original features are preserved, and the appearance of the house has remained much the same for the last 200 years. Carefully restored to a high standard with every respect for the original features, the house boasts luxurious bathrooms and excellent central heating combined with rooms that have 1850s wallpaper and original floors. The chateau has recently had full central heating installed throughout. With beautiful high ceilings and thick stone walls, it also remains wonderfully cool in the summer. Not specifically adapted for wheelchair users, but 1 double bedroom with bathroom (shower only) is on the ground floor, as is a single bedroom. The château is 5 minutes drive from a large village and about twenty minute ’s drive from the market town of Cazeres. Only half an hour’s drive from the large shopping outlets on the outskirts of Toulouse and 45 minutes drive from Toulouse City Centre itself. There is a wide range of local shopping, sports facilities, leisure activities and restaurants. Toulouse is 45 minutes drive from the chateau. The city boasts magnificent renaissance architecture, and cultural attractions such as the opera house, three stunning cathedrals and many great museums and art galleries.

What visitors have said about Chateau de Siregand |

"From the moment we drove in through the gates we could tell it is a special place - warm and welcoming - it's a happy home. I spent many happy moments sitting on the back steps enjoying the views and the wildlife - just stunning. I very much hope to return and spend more time there."
Dawn & James, Sep 2011

"This truly is an undiscovered gem. The chateau is a tranquil and magical place surrounded by the most stunning countryside. I attended a yoga retreat here and spent a week enjoying the magnificent house, grounds and pool. The grounds are vast, so plenty of space to explore and staying in the house really takes you back to a bygone era. While huge and rambling, there is a definite 'homely' feel, and it has been so lovingly looked after. I'm hoping to be able to return to the chateau with my family, so I can share the wonderful experience."

[the owner] recently completed an impressive restoration of the place, and yet it felt untouched, like there should be velvet ropes everywhere guarding each authentic detail from the likes of modern us. But there weren’t. I could sit in every deliciously upholstered chair, walk across every stone checkered floor, touch every ceramic knob. I wanted to skip through all the rooms and look through all the drawers and walk wistfully through the fields

We hope to be back next year to explore more of the area. there is so much to see and there couldn't be a more comfortable and homely base than Chateau Siregand ... thank you for a wonderful time!

... the kids spent their time in the pool or playing football on the lawn, leaving us adults free to relax around the pool while enjoying the beautiful sunshine, reading and contemplating which delicacy from the local market we might have for dinner. Bliss.
