Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation |
|
| |
Historic Dinan, high on the hill, with its three ancient monasteries and picturesque old Port below has been a town of traders, craftsmen and fairs since the Middle Ages... today, the perfect location to explore the history, culture and customs of this unspoiled region of France. Take a leisurely walk along the winding towpath by the river Rance to the ruins of the oldest castle in Brittany or discover the quaint stone villages and old mills tucked away in the scenic Val de la Rance. Brittany's beaches, romantic islands and the Pink Granite Coast are just minutes to the north. One of our favourite spots is the colourful fishing village, Cancale, famous for seafood, especially mussels! Historic Dinan, it's picturesque Old Port and the beautiful Rance Valley attract over a half million visitors each year, second only to Mont St. Michel! |
