This house is situated in a large garden with interesting trees and shrubs. It is located up a drive, off a quiet single track lane. It is about 3 minutes drive from the beach and beautiful Pink Granite Coast. If you would like to walk it should take you about 20+ minutes to get to either a large sandy beach, a small sandy beach, rocky islands with hidden beaches beyond which you can walk to a low tide - the choice is endless. Close by there is also a quiet cove with lots of boats on moorings and boat launching facilities. It is quite spectacular when the tide goes out - you can walk for miles. This is a beautiful area of Brittany with spectacular coastline, picturesque villages, towns, harbours and marinas. It has a distinctive charm of ever changing colours and light with a variety of different land and seascapes. |

Eroded over 300 million years, a landscape of astonishingly shaped granite boulders extending over almost 5.5 miles, the Pink Granite Coast is great for all outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, tennis, football and horse riding and of course all water sports. It is full of Celtic tradition and Breton festivals abound during the year. It is enchanting, magical and should be on your “Top 10 Places to Visit”. Sandy beaches, low rocky cliffs, hundreds of small islands, estuaries and inland lakes. Don’t forget some of the beautiful chateaux such as the Domaine de la Roche-Jagu perched above the Trieux and the Abbaye de Beauport close to Paimpol. From exploring the coastal surroundings, participating in a vast array of water sports, fishing – both from the land and from a boat, and birdwatching are just some of the activities on offer. Brittany also has lots of festivals, wonderful food, history, golf – you name it! |

The French House has been renovated extensively in a marine theme in keeping with its closeness to the coast. There is an open plan hall way and sitting room with dining table and chairs, Free to View English TV, DVD and video player. Double doors lead onto the terrace. The kitchen is well equipped with fan oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer. The ground floor bedroom with ensuite bathroom: the bed is a king size memory foam and the bathroom has a sunken bath. Both rooms have glorious views out over the garden and countryside. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms: a twin bedded room with ensuite shower room and a WC just outside the bedroom door; a further bedroom with ensuite shower room with WC and hand basin: the fourth bedroom/additional sitting room has a single sofa/day bed. Upstairs bedrooms have wonderful views over the countryside and sea beyond.

The French House is set within a beautiful one acre, natural garden with distant sea views (1km away). Outside the front entrance is an original washing area where Breton folk use to come and do their weekly washing. There is a natural area of garden, set with Bull rushes and reeds - this area of the garden is not suitable for young children. The terrace is equipped with gas BBQ, tables and chairs for outdoor dining and entertaining.

Nearby towns well worth visiting: Treguier. A “Petite Cité De Caractère”, a town of architectural beauty and authenticity. Attractive timber clad houses, cobbled streets, pretty church, pavement cafes, marina and weekly market. Treguier has an indoor, heated swimming pool, open all year round. Tennis courts – 2 inside and 2 outside. Ploumanac’h. A small natural harbour at the very heart of the Pink Granite Coast, it has two 14th Century tidal mills. Perros-Guirec. The town is in two parts – the upper area where the majority of the shops are with lots of good restaurants and the lower area which has the marina with more restaurants and shops. Casino, bowling, aquarium and indoor swimming complex. Lannion. Large town situated on a river with lots of shops and restaurants, Don’t miss the Thursday market which lasts all day and is the largest market in Brittany.

No Smoking. Pets Welcome - charged at £20 per dog. Saturday changeover but can be flexible out of season. Discounts occasionally available. Central heating and electricity are included in the price. However, please bring your own bed linen and towels. All beds have duvets.
