There are 3 properties to let, separately or together, including the main mill house (Maison du Lac) which sleeps up to seven guests in three bedrooms (and large landing). The other two properties can accommodate five and two respectively (see details below). All have central heating and open fires, private patios and access to the lake with use of all facilities, including rowing boats and swimming pool. Bed linen included (guests need to bring towels). |

Moulin de Begasse is on a quiet road near the small town of Le Faouët just 5 minutes drive away, famous for its timber-framed market hall. Sandy beaches are just a 30-minute drive away. The region and its towns are rich in history. Other fascinating local places include Lorient, a 30 minute drive from Moulin de Begasse, which is built around a natural, harbour estuary. The city has a 10-day Celtic festival every August. Inland and upstream is Hennebout, an old, walled town with beautiful, open views of the Blavet River. To the south-east of Lorient is the Cote Sauvage, with the warmest bathing in Brittany. Other seaside excursions include a trip to Quiberon, a popular island resort joined to the mainland by a strip of sand and Josselin with its superb riverside chateau and medieval architecture. Along the southern coast there are numerous beaches with sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling, swimming, sea fishing. Various golf courses within a ten mile radius of this villa in Brittany. |

To Brest, Dinan, Rennes, Lorient or Nantes - then rent a car! DRIVE: Good French roads mean Moulin Begasse is easily reached from the whole of Europe. It is located just off the D769 is the fast North South Road between Morlaix and Lorient. |

The main millhouse, Maison du Lac, has one king size double room (en-suite) and two twin bedrooms. There’s a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a living room with two large sofas, TV and DVD and a beautiful conservatory opening onto the terrace. The Studio du Lac has one king sized double room, a well equipped kitchen and living room with two sofa beds. The Gite au Jardin, which is a converted stable building has a spacious open plan design. It has a gallery sleeping area (with king sized double), and a separate bedroom with three single beds, as well as two single sofa beds in the living room.

The extensive grounds include a heated indoor swimming pool, and gardens with timber decks over the water for fishing, boating or relaxing in the sun. The Maison du Lac and Studio du Lac have their own terraces overlooking the magnificent private lake with its island. The Gite is nearby with an enclosed garden area and easy access to the lake. Rowing boats and kayaks are available for exploring, fishing or just relaxing on the water. Or if you prefer, sunbathe on one of the timber decks over the water. The heated swimming pool is 10m by 5m surrounded by timber decking and enclosed in its own glass house within the gardens of the property. The extensive gardens are enclosed by the millstreams which provide the power for the enormous mill wheel which turns at the side of the old mill. A large car parking area provides ample parking.

Rental |
Returnable security deposit: 25% for early bookings or 50% six months or less before departure. Full payment 8 weeks before departure. 4% discount deductible if full payment made at time of booking (not available six months or less before departure). Pool heating is normally included from April to October. If available outside these dates a supplement will be payable. Lettings Saturday to Saturday. Weekends and short breaks available during low season.
