Lostmarc’h is a tiny village set at the end of the Crozon peninsula, in a highly protected area of natural beauty. There is only a handful of authentic stone cottages here, and new construction has been forbidden for many decades. The bustling seaside towns of Morgat and Crozon are only 3km away so all amenities are on your doorstep. Lostmarc'h was completely renovated over the winter of 2007/8. The aim was to make the house as comfortable and luxurious as possible, and to bring a boutique hotel standard of accommodation to a private rental in an area of stunning natural beauty. We have tried to use natural, or reclaimed products as much as possible. For example, one bedroom has bedside tables made from a fallen 14th century oak from Kistinic, the kitchen is solid wood, a bedhead is made from an ancient Breton 'lit-clos' and there is even a driftwood barrier on the mezzanine, all collected from Lostmarc'h beach! |

There is a huge amount to do here. Firstly, you have on your doorstep one of the best surfing beaches, not only in Brittany, but in the whole of France. You can also kayak around the bays, caves and rocks.. You can take a boat trip from Morgat and most watersports are available in town too. We provide two very high quality hybrid mountain bikes; the whole area around Lostmarc'h is fantastic for cycling - the roads are very quiet, and the sea is very often in view. There are adventure parks for climbing and general fun, horseriding, indoor pools, aquariums, cycling..... If you prefer a more sedate holiday experience, then fear not, as there are many gastronomic restaurants in the area aswell as interesting towns, museums and cathedrals to visit. You can also take boat trips to the islands, such as Ile de Sein, Iles des Glenans, and Ile de Ouessant. |

Getting There:
| Getting to this villa in Brittany is easy: Leave the motorway between Brest and Quimper and head for Morgat (about 25km) The house is about 60 minutes from Brest Airport with good links with Flybe to Birmingham, Southampton, Manchester and Exeter, and Ryanair flights to Luton airport. Roscoff is a little more than an hour's drive away for ferry crossings to Plymouth, and St Malo about 3 hours for crossings to Portsmouth. There is parking within the grounds of the house. |

The house is cosy and warm and has wonderful views from the bedroom windows. All of the ground floor is finished in a hand-applied, smoothed decorative concrete, and there is underfloor heating throughout. The two bathrooms are brand new with high end fittings and decorated with mosaic. High quality kitchen with top quality appliances and extra large range cooker. Dining table with seating for six. Separate utility room with washing machine and tumble drier. The living room has two large sofas with Kenzo cushions and has a 42" plasma TV (satellite) with a Dolby DTS 5.1 cinema system. All three bedrooms (2 doubles & 1 twin) have extremely comfortable beds with Egyptian cotton linen and there are sea views from all three. The upstairs double has an ensuite bathroom. The twin room is accessed via a staircase in the downstairs double bedroom. There is a mezzanine which is a great place for relaxing or for the kids to play.

There is a good size garden with a new wooden terrace from which you can admire the panoramic views of the sea, whilst eating your croissants for breakfast! We also provide 2 new, very high quality hybrid mountain bikes, so no excuses for not exploring!

A path leads directly from our garden to the cliffs and the beaches of Lostmarch and La Palue. We feel that these are amongst the very best beaches in Finistere, totally unspoilt and clean. All this peaceful beauty can be enjoyed whilst being in a villa in Brittany just 3km from the bustling seaside town of Morgat. Here you will find a huge variety of restaurants and shops and a large, sandy beach excellent for small children. There is also a port, and boat trips to see the caves. For larger supermarkets, visit Crozon, another 2km further on, that also has large sport shops, fuel, etc. Camaret is a pleasant harbour town; in fact the whole coastline of the Crozon is beautiful and interesting. The fabulous, Mediterranean style beaches of Ile Vierge are just 3km from the house. Trips further afield could include Locronan, Quimper, Douarnenez, and Oceanopolis at Brest.

Conditions of Rental |
All of our prices include fresh white cotton bedlinen, towels and all charges. Beds are made up for your arrival. Those little extras like toilet rolls, washing up liquid, tea, coffee, and a nice bottle of wine are all provided. To make a reservation, a 30% deposit is required with the balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. The rental period is from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure.

What an amazing place. This has to be the most atmospheric, stylish and welcoming cottage we've ever stayed in. Amazing property, wonderful views, stunning beaches and plenty to do in the area. The Crozon Peninsula is a GREAT place for a holiday and Lost'March is absolutely the best place to stay while you are there. Coming back? We're already trying to work out when...

The most wonderful cottage in the most wonderful place. We really enjoyed the unspoilt coast and all that the Atlantic could give - waves, rain, wind and beautiful sunny spell! It all worked fantastically - even lazy afternoons and evenings on the sofa and our evening movies. Thanks for the hospitality and for all the kids kits.
