General Info |
|
| |
Les Hirondelles is a charming 17th century cottage which is decorated and furnished to a high modern standard but also maintains an air of history and originality in its features. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and is therefore perfect for a couple or a small family. The oak beams and spiral staircase make it cosy and romantic but it is also equipped with traditionally French spacious living areas for your comfort. A heated, enclosed pool, private terrace and dining area, and 2 acres of lawned garden all make for a totally relaxing stay in the heart of Brittany. The countryside surrounding the house is peaceful and beautiful but you are also a mere 45 minutes from the Emerald coast and a stone’s throw from several historic towns and villages. |

The house is set in beautiful French countryside with much to offer, from forest walks and cycle rides to golf courses and fishing lakes. The nearest village, Tremblay, is 4 km away and is a charming place with an 11th century church and a selection of small shops and bars. St Brice-en-Cogles is also close by and has a supermarket and several restaurants. Outside the cottage there is a private terrace overlooking the lovely garden. This is very well equipped with lots of garden furniture and a barbecue for those lazy summer evenings. The garden itself stretches to 2 acres of lawn, just made for picnics or a game of cricket! The garden also houses a 10mx5m heated pool (open from April to October) which is fenced and alarmed for your children’s safety and your peace of mind. Around the pool there are sunbeds, cushions and parasols aplenty. Hidden behind the pool, there is a trampoline and children’s play area with swings and a slide and for the grownups there is a boules court set by a small orchard. What visitors have said about Les Hirondelles |
| |
| |
We have had a wonderful week staying in the cottage, everything was perfect. Our children absolutely loved the swimming pool despite whatever the weather conditions! We especially enjoyed out little visitors, Poppy the dog, Caramel the cat and who really made herself at home, Rosie the cat. Beautiful area to stay in. We have had some fantastic days out, especially enjoyed Mont St Miche. Thankyou Sue, for being wonderful with the boys. We would certainly return to see you all again.

We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely house. Emily loved the trampoline, swings and of course the swimming pool. It was even warm enough to get Oliver [baby] in. A great base to explore the area and always nice to return back to.

Lovely week, very comfortable, well equipped gîte. Enjoyed the pool with the cover up and down and loved bike rides to St Brice (about 1 hour with 5 yr old on tiny bike!).
