The rooms in Lionheart House, are large, elegant and airy, great for the summer heat... There is a large salon with flagged floors. It has two sofas, several easy chairs and tables, bookcases, table football, games, and satellite television with Sky freeview channels. There is a large collection, indeed a virtual library, of books and films. This room leads directly into the outside loggia.
The living kitchen is across the original dark oak floored hallway and is another very large room with beamed ceiling. This has modern kitchen units, a Belfast sink with teak surround, an antique armoire, sofa, desk, table and chairs for eight people. All modern conveniences have been installed into the kitchen including dishwasher and washing machine. Across the hallway is a cloakroom with wc, and wash basin. You access the upstairs by a beautiful original curved wooden staircase.

Exterior Details |
Lionheart House is designed for alfresco living, with many different outdoor sitting and dining areas set in beautiful walled gardens. There are three dining areas, a Gas BBQ, and sunloungers by the pool all with stunning rural views. The outdoor sitting area has a sofa, armchairs and coffee table. There are two pergolas for shade, one covered with wisteria, the other with vines. A large loggia with tiled roof provides further shade and an alternative seating area with swing seat. This faces south for maximum summer heat.
The summer swimming pool is ideal for children and adults alike as it also faces south and gets the sun all day. There is outdoor table tennis on one of our front terraces and the garden has outdoor lighting so you can enjoy it in the evening. The series of balustrades, terraces and statues have been nicknamed by a local as "Petite Versailles".

What visitors have said about Lionheart House |

Just to say thanks very much- yes we had a fantastic holiday and really liked the house which we thought was very unusual. The village was also very quiet and peaceful and we found the cycling (we are into road biking ) excellent!

What a great house, what a great week! - we stopped off in northern France on the way home but everyone was talking about the house in Perigourd. We had looked at the pictures on the website but the house has character that pictures can't convey. We found it large, comfortable and cool in the day. Sitting in the garden (the green gauges were just becoming ripe and delicious - figs will be a few weeks yet) we saw Black redstart, Buzzard and woodpeckers. The butterflies are amazing too. Swallowtail, White Admiral, Clouded Yellow and Hummingbird Hawk Moths.... etc.

We had an absolutely lovely time in Pierrefiche. We are missing the warm sunshine already! Many thanks for returning the deposit so promptly.
