We see on average 75 different species of bird from our garden each year, including short-toed eagles, golden orioles and hoopoes. We have not got around to counting the butterflies, but they are numerous. Add the various mammals, amphibians and reptiles, and the diversity is astounding. The wild flowers on the road verges (no herbicides here) are abundant: orchids, cowslips etc. |

The centrepiece of the large kitchen/dining room is the farmhouse dining table with seating for eight. A french window opens out onto your garden. We have a small "quiet" lounge area and a larger lounge area with TV etc. The larger of the two double bedrooms has a king-size bed; the third bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom and the separate shower room, with a multi-jet shower,both have toilets. The kitchen/dining room and the TV lounge both have reversible air-conditioning and there are fly screens fitted throughout. We provide a wide selection of books and DVD's for your enjoyment.

Your garden, partly shaded with apricot, apple and pear trees, is furnished with a large swinging couch to stretch out on as well as a table and bench set for alfresco dining. A pathway leads down to the 8x4m pool with extended terracing to take six sun-loungers and a table seating six for lazing or lunching while gazing upon the wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. Look out for hoopoes and golden orioles flying over; look up and you may see the short-toed serpent eagle. If you feel like some exercise, we have four adult bikes you can borrow.

Further Details |
The owners' self-contained accommodation is at the rear of the house and is screened to ensure your privacy. They are of course available during your stay to offer advice and guidance and to sort out any problems which might arise. Richard speaks fluent French if you need it. They particularly welcome young guests of all ages. They have a buggy, a high-chair, toilet seat, step-up, baby bath etc. Childrens' books and games are also provided. The property and the pool are securely enclosed to prevent inadvertent straying, and additional security is provided by the pool alarm.

A 25% deposit secures the booking. We also ask for a £200 security deposit to be paid at the same time as the final rental payment.
