This area is famous for its food, wine and good restaurants. Sunflowers, walnuts, figs, plums, apricots and maize are the main crops. Specialities include foie gras, prunes, and armagnac as well as numerous duck dishes. The countryside is hilly and has wonderful distant views, and the climate is warm and dry. August can be very hot but you can always cool off in the pool! Vineyards are all around including Buzet to the south, Bergerac to the north, Duras to the west and further west St Emilion with its listed world heritage site. Tombeboeuf is a typical French town with baker, butcher, grocer, post office, hairdresser, hotel & bar, doctor & pharmacy. Two hundred metres out of town there is a nine hole golf course, it is a par 36 and is run by a friendly English couple. Visitors are welcome and you can hire clubs if you don't bring your own. There is also fishing in the nearby lake. |

The house has its own private pool and garden with patio doors leading from the living room onto the terrace, perfect for al fresco dining and furnished with comfortable patio furniture, sun beds by the pool.
Inside there is a games room with pool table, table tennis. The house has tiled floors throughout and exposed beams in the lounge/dining room & kitchen area. The kitchen is a newly fitted oak kitchen with an oak table seating 10 people. There is also a newly refurbished bathroom with walk in italian shower room with fitted unit,& w.c. There is also a separate W.C. Three double bedrooms with wardrobes. Two of them have patio doors with views of the swimming pool & lake. There is a fourth bedroon with twin beds & wardrobe. In the lounge there is an HD ready television, DVD play, CD play, a log fire, two comfortable sofas & an armchair.
