Beechcroft comprises a picturesque group of period farm buildings, the Oast dating prior to 1683, which have been sympathetically converted to an exceptional standard and now provide four luxuriously fitted detached properties. Forming a pleasant and informal grouping in a superb setting on the edge of the village with open southerly views across a small lake to rolling countryside, each property commands its own privacy and individuality. The Granary (sleeps 6), Oast (sleeps 5), Byre (sleeps 4) and the Bull Pen with the adjoining Cart Lodge (sleeps 2) may be booked individually or in any combination. The Bull Pen and recently converted Cart Lodge provide additional flexibility, either as separate comfortable and spacious accommodation for 2 or dining space with covers for up to 20 guests or as a small conference centre. Beechcroft is the ideal venue for family celebrations. |

There are many scenic fishing villages and coastal towns to visit. Camber Sands is a popular Sandy Beach with The Place Hotel, renowned for seafood and Romney Marsh lamb close by. Sailing, jet-skiing and wind-surfing are popular pursuits at Pevensey and Normans Bay (approximately 6 miles). In Eastbourne you can do courses in sailing, wind-surfing, canoeing, body-boarding and power boating or try canoeing, kayaking and surfing at The Seven Sisters Canoe Centre, Cuckmere. The South Downs is a fascinating place. The new National Park with its stunning scenery, the South Downs Way and multitude of other bridleways offer some of the best rambling and off road cycling in the country. Drive up to Firle top for a bracing walk with amazing panorama; or mountain bike to Alfriston. Alternatively experience the great outdoors with high adrenalin activities such as Hang Gliding and Paragliding. There is an abundance of local walks and cycling in the immediate countryside. |

The Bull Pen & Cart Lodge, originally two detached period farm buildings, now linked by the new entrance hall, has the accommodation on one floor (some steps) to include spacious and airy rooms with vaulted timbered ceilings. The Master bedroom with adjacent Shower & WC with inner hall and separate entrance (if required) connects to the well-equipped kitchen with dining table (seats 3) through to the Cart Lodge, which now provides the large living/dining area. The kitchen is comfortable for two guests, but alternatively, when booked with one or all the other properties, there are covers for up to 20 and it becomes the ideal venue for larger parties or for small residential conferences. A wealth of original period features. Oil fired central heating - insulated to the highest standards. Electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, DVD player. Televisions both in the living area and the main bedroom.

An area of contrasting countryside - to the South and West, landscapes vary from river valleys and chalk cliffs to rolling green hills sheltering picturesque villages and panoramic views to the sea. An unrivalled coastline to include such beauty spots as the Seven Sisters and the dramatic white cliffs of Beachy Head. To the North and East, the Weald with picture book towns and villages, undulating wooded terrain. With historic beaches and ports, includes the towns of Battle, where King Harold fell; Hastings with the Old Town and Fisherman's Museum, home of Britain's first Norman Castle and latterly, of the fictitious Foyles War fame. Pevensey, the landing point for both the Romans in the 4th Century and William the Conqueror in 1066; Rye, perched on a hill overlooking the River Rother and Romney Marsh having the maze of cobbled streets and narrow passages with Medieval and Georgian buildings.

Prices are in £ Sterling and include VAT, rental, heating, electricity, use of bed linen and towels, toiletries and welcome hamper. Christmas: Minimum stay is 7 nights. New Year: Minimum stay is 4 nights. Easter: Minimum stay is 5 nights. Other Bank Holidays: Minimum stay is 3 nights i.e. Friday to Monday. Booking Conditions: Strictly in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. Sorry no children under 5 due to close proximity of a small lake. Babies up to 1 year with own moses basket welcome, but no cot or high chair. Sorry no dogs or smoking. Outside catering or special gourmet 'takeaway' services can be provided by the Sundial Restaurant on sufficient notice. Other takeaway services are also available.
