Interior Details |
The yurts are 5.5 metres in diameter and have been crafted from sustainably sourced UK native larch and ash. They are covered with olive fire-retardant polycotton with a clear window for the crown, two windows with roll up canvas covers in the walls and a double opening lockable door. Each yurt can sleep 4 adults comfortably on 2 extra thick mattress double futons. The yurts are furnished with traditional wooden floors and storage boxes, rugs on the floors and soft throws and cushions which make them seem that much more warm and cosy. Each yurt also has its own wood-burning stove (which comes with a complimentary basket of wood), as well as a fridge and a selection of cutlery and crockery in the cupboard. The wooden table and chairs can be used either inside or out depending on your preference….and the weather!

Exterior Details |
All the yurts have their own secluded spot in the wildflower meadow and the layout is such that you can be as social or as private as you like. Each yurt has its own BBQ but the use of the large communal kitchen is also available to you. This kitchen is very well equipped and has French doors which open out onto a patio. Nearby there is a communal seating and eating area and a little further afield is the fire area complete with tables and log benches, perfect for enjoying the shade of willow and hazel trees and for chatting to fellow travellers. Next door to the kitchen, housed in a traditional Suffolk weather-boarded and pantile roofed building, are the spacious showers and washrooms, complete with under floor heating, hairdryers and laundry facilities.

Further Details |
Saving energy and conserving this beautiful environment are very much part of the owners’ philosophy. Everything from the wood used to make the yurts and the low energy appliances to the bees and chickens and the organic vegetable garden is evidence of an eco-friendly way of life. Waste is composted and recycled, rainwater is collected and piped into the wildlife pond, and everything is supplied by local craftsmen and businesses. We also offer organic gardening courses, where you can discover the joys of growing and cooking your own healthy, wildlife-friendly fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers.

What visitors have said about Suffolk Yurt Holidays |
| |

We had a great time staying in the Yurts, everything about it was fantastic. Kay and Grahame obviously put a lot of thought into every single loving detail, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. They certainly thought of everything. The setting is a lovely meadow, rich with flowers. The Yurts were especially beautiful inside, made with wonderful craftsmanship.

The Yurts are perfect! So warm, cosy and beautifully crafted. We loved sitting round the campfire, chatting to other guests, visiting the local pub, having meals 'al fresco' and having a good night's sleep on the very comfy futons. Incredibly welcoming hosts. Made to feel very at home.

The most fantastic place I've ever stayed. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend. The facilities are top notch and the gorgeous countryside cannot be matched. I've spent a fantastic morning sitting in the daisies, drinking a cup of tea, looking at beautiful Suffolk fields.
