Our inland location offers many varied attractions in different directions. To the north, the beautiful North Norfolk countryside is on our doorstep, stretching from Hunstanton to Great Yarmouth. 20 miles to the south is Norwich, one of most popular shopping destinations in the country is just a 45 minute car journey away. Little Barn is thought to date back to the 17th Century, when a lawyer from London, escaping the Great Plague, first built a house on this spot. Peacefully situated in its own attractive gardens, amid the gently rolling landscape of North Norfolk, Little Barn is within easy reach of all the attractions of this beautiful and historic county. |

Front entrance into the dining area, leading to a nice size kitchen. The lounge has exposed original beams, a wood burning stove, and French doors opening onto a large well kept garden. There is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. The bathroom comprises combined bath with shower over. All rooms except the twin bedroom are on the ground floor. There is TV (freeview) and video (including a video library), a CD players and Wi-Fi. The kitchen includes washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and oven. The house has oil fired central heating.

Little Barn comes with a small garden accessed via the French doors from the lounge at the rear of the barn. A shingled area provides an excellent outdoor area to relax and eat in (with table, parasol, barbecue and chairs provided). A small lawn follows, extending into the much larger garden of Brae Cottage which guests are equally welcome to enjoy. This larger garden features a lawned area, attractive flower beds and a seated area surrounded by English roses. A barbecue is available (charcoal supplied).

One of the largest villages in Norfolk, Briston is a charming village adjacent to the village of Melton Constable, once famous for its busy railway station (since closed). Briston has a large village green, which features a travelling fairground and Summer Fête once a year. The Recreation Ground (Briston Sports and Social Club) has an enclosed children’s playing area, football pitches and tennis courts. Briston and Melton Constable between them have 2 Co-ops, 2 butchers, a fresh fish outlet, a bakery, Chinese food delivery service, Pizza, kebab and fried chicken take away, 2 garages, 2 post offices and 2 pubs (one with restaurant). Whilst the local Co-op supermarkets provide for many necessities, a range of local fresh food is also available. Fresh fish is available locally as well as game in season. Thursford, nearby, boasts a Thai restaurant with deliveries available.
