General Info |
|
| |
The five canvas cottages are located in five acres in the heart of a farm and the location is fabulous. All the cottages have wonderful privacy, with either hedgerows or wooded areas creating a feeling of seclusion. This place oozes relaxation and is blissfully without electricity or the hum-drum of the television and radio - these are replaced with bird song, whispers of the wind and sounds of the countryside. Few places are so utterly charming in the evening, with huge skies, bright stars, and sheer peace and quiet, lit only by the flicker of candlelight. The styling of the cottages is very vintage country chic; romantic faded florals and distinctive stripes, checks and rambling blooms create a nostalgic, tranquil and enchanting atmosphere. |

Interior Details |
The cottages are wonderfully spacious. They each have a living area with a farmhouse kitchen dresser, an old fashioned butler’s sink with brass taps and thick chunky wooden work tops. The soul of the tent is a delightful wood burning fire with an oven and stove top for preparing delicious breakfasts and late suppers, oh and not forgetting the whistling kettle! In your tent you will find a trunk containing a collection of invaluable objects that will bring to life the delights of the countryside: a set of binoculars to spot rabbits, hares, buzzards and the elusive barn owl; the classic I-spy range of books to help you discover insects, birds and trees; a tape measure, magnifying glass and jam jar to measure and record your finds; and of course, good old artist’s paper and pencils. Each tent will also have a collection of old fashioned, classic games to enjoy: playing cards, snap, dominoes, drafts, snakes & ladders & monopoly.

Exterior Details |
At the front of each cottage is a spacious shaded canopy which allows guests to relax outside and enjoy the sunsets. The cottages are grouped with privacy in mind, nestled beside woodland and hedgerows, and the result is a truly unique and special experience for families and friends sharing the farm together. The views from your doorstep are breath taking - over old fashioned farm landscape, woodland, tall hedges and corn and grassland fields. Outside the cottages on the farm itself there is a lot to do, from feeding the hens and playing with the goats to learning all about the crops and animals from Farmer John.

Further Details |
The sleeping accommodation is ideal for family and friends with two bedrooms which are each home to wonderfully comfortable, wooden framed beds with luxury duvets and eiderdowns. The third ‘bedroom’ is a double bed housed in a secret wooden cabin, always an attraction for the children as well as a romantic choice for couples. The private bathroom area is unique in luxury camping, no trudging along to a shower block, just a step away from the bedroom into the private bathroom. You’ll find an old fashioned slipper bath with shower, a hand basin and toilet and even a dressing area. Osbaston House Farm covers 250 acres of rolling Leicestershire countryside. Nestled on the edge of the National Forest, the land includes mature woodland, arable and grassland. The Earps have been custodians of Osbaston House Farm for nearly 100 years.
