There is something about their friendly curves and familiar shape that makes them the perfect choice for an escapade, whether it’s a holiday with the family, a festival experience or a wedding day vehicle. These VW camper vans have all been beautifully restored and generously equipped - with some ingenuity! Each has a sink, a fridge, a two-burner hob, a whistling kettle and cupboards tightly packed with everything you could possible need on your campervan holiday. We have gone to extraordinary lengths to maintain the original integrity of each Volkswagen van and then we’ve popped in some funky 21st century features that we feel will enhance the whole experience. Hiring a camper van gives you a huge amount of freedom and they are perfect if you don’t want to plan your destination – you can just park up and sleep anywhere! Part of the beauty of staying and travelling like this is that you truly get to appreciate Great Britain’s natural beauty and diversity. Visit the Cheddar Caves in Bristol or the spa in Bath, the castles and gardens of Cornwall or the charming villages of the Cotswolds. Traverse Exmoor or Dartmoor, walk the Jurassic or Pembrokeshire coasts, or discover the theatres and museums of Oxford. Getting There:
| Comfy Campers is based in the Cotswolds just off junction 10 of the M5 (Cheltenham, Gloucestershire) and is within easy reach by car. If you are driving, you are welcome to leave your car outside with us. We have off road parking for up to 12 vehicles. We also offer a free pick up service from Cheltenham Spa Train Station. A detailed map with directions will be provided once your booking has been confirmed.

Interior Details |
Each of the 4 camper vans has unique interiors which suit them as individuals. Lilly is a 1973 classic VW Type 2 Westfalia camper van. She is sage green under white and can sleep 5 in a full-size ‘Rock and Roll’ bed, a pop-top roof, and a canvas hammock. Sunny is a 1974 classic Volkswagen Type II Bay window camper van. She is primrose yellow under white and sleeps 4. Betty Blue is a 1983 VW Type 25 campervan. She is sky blue under white and also sleeps 4. Last but by no means least, is Bertie. This van is baby blue under white and can sleep 5 altogether. All the vans are equipped with the necessities, from utility equipment, cooker, tea, coffee, sugar, crockery, pots and pans and utensils to first aid and tool kits. Rental |
Hire of each campervan includes breakdown cover, full insurance, cooking gas and membership to the UK Camping and Caravanning Club. We are very flexible and will try to accommodate your needs where we can. In peak season, it may be that we will not be able to offer long weekends. Please phone us on 07793 530812 to explore the options. Week hire is from Friday (after 4pm) to the following Friday (before 11am). Weekend hire is from Friday (after 4pm) to Monday (before 11am). Bank holiday prices are charged at a slightly higher rate. There is a security deposit per van of £750, which will not be cashed unless we have to use it. The vans come with a full tank of petrol but must also be returned with a full tank.

We just wanted to say a big thank you for hiring Dennis to us in such perfect condition for our wedding on the 1st July. We had such a perfect day and Dennis was ever present in very handsome condition. We had such... a lovely relaxing break with Dennis down in Cornwall after the wedding. He was a great talking point...loads of other campers came to admire him. He was beautifully kitted out inside and very cosy. We have definitely got the camper van bug now and aspire to own our own one day.

Just want to say thanks a million for helping me to arrange the Langley family's very happy holiday with Sunny! They had a wonderful time and were so lucky to set off with such lovely weather which stayed with them for a few days.
They are a very happy and fun loving bunch and Sunny suited them so well. They were rather sad last night having returned Sunny and the feeling of it all being over when they had been looking forward to it since Christmas. I think you might be seeing them again sometime.
I am told Sunny wanted for nothing and was certainly a "comfy camper". They called here just before setting off, so we did give them a wave! Well done to you both for such a great idea offered so brilliantly.
