Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation |
|
| |
Pamflete House is approached by a long private road through open farmland with tantalizing glimpses of the sea. After turning into the grounds of the house through a pair of stone pillars and along the sweeping drive you know you have arrived somewhere very special. The immediate landscape includes rolling pastures, woodlands, estuary and a spectacular coastline and when you can pull yourself away, the surrounding area is just as stunning and worth exploring. Holbeton, a pretty village with thatched cottages, has a well stocked post office and stores and two pubs serving food. The picturesque waterside villages of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo are only minutes away and the delightful market town of Modbury is bursting with small independent shops. Beyond this, the rest of South Devon offers something for
everyone from the busy sailing town of Salcombe to the wilderness of Dartmoor. The region's mild climate encourages outdoor pursuits all the year round. |
