Completely refurbished in 2008, this is Victorian architecture with a contemporary twist. Five elegant rooms with lovely bathrooms, all individual but of the same style and quality. Pick your favourite and then relax! Cool and comfortable in summer; warm and cosy in winter. Conveniently situated both for Windermere and the train station. Guests have complimentary use of an equally stylish spa only a short walk away. |

What visitors have said about The Boundary |
| |
| |
I booked this boutique place for a long bank holiday weekend away to celebrate my husband's birthday and we absolutely loved it. On arrival we were welcomed by Steve who clearly loves his job. Not only is he a warm host but also a very happy to help with any questions. We stayed in the 'The Fry' room where the decor is contemporary and a lot of natural light is available. To our surprise the room is much bigger than it appears on the webpage. The bed was super comfy for three great nights of sleep. The breakfast is opulent and varied - you can choose between 3-4 different fry-ups next to cereals, fresh fruits, yoghurt and pastry. The ingredients are mainly local products and/or fair trade. The Boundary is linked to the spa of the Macdonald Old England Hotel in Bowness and we made full use of it. We booked treatments in advance and enjoyed a very relaxing morning at the pool, in the sauna, steam room and the gym. The location of the hotel is convenient; you can easily walk to the town centre of Windermere or to Bowness, where plenty of eating possibilities are available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Boundary and would recommend it anytime to any of our friends or family members.
