Rickerby House is perfect for those with young families like us. We have a 5 and 3 year old and the house is equipped for us and therefore for other families. Not only is the essential corkscrew provided but we also provide a steriliser, blender, changing table, stair gate, bath seats, monitor, high chairs for baby and toddler, potty, plates, cutlery, toys, baby walker, baby bouncer, books for the under fives, backpack for baby and little tikes car for toddlers. The house has 3 double bedrooms and one nursery with a single bed. Lounge: With colour TV, DVD, football table and patio doors to the garden. Sitting room: With comfy sofas, TV, DVD and fantastic log burner. Dining/kitchen: With double electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave.

Portinscale is only minutes from Keswick which is a small but very attractive market town set amongst some of the most spectacular scenery in the Lake District and from which all visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities.
The three highest mountain ranges in England, Skiddaw, Helvellyn and Scafell Pike are all within easy reach of the house. Visitors can engage in a challenging trek, enjoy an unlimited number of planned walks or just take in the scenery. Historic places of interest to see and visit include the 4000 year old Castlerigg Stone Circle, Mirehouse, Victorian Museum, Cars of the Stars Museum, and the Pencil Museum.
Activities for the more energetic and adventurous are also catered for. A variety of watersports, paragliding, swimming, mountain biking and much more are all available at the many established centres. Keswick also offers two large public parks which offer games facilities in open, wooded and garden settings. Other facilities include a new sports hall, leisure pool, cinema, new theatre, golf, cycle hire, fishing, in fact more than most visitors expect.
For those who enjoy cooking there is a superb market of local produce on Saturdays and the excellent Booths supermarket can be found in Keswick town centre. Alternatively, you can sample the many restaurants and pubs of the village and Keswick.

Conditions of Rental |
We can hold a provisional booking for one week. A non-refundable deposit of £200 per week is required to secure your booking. The balance of the cost of your holiday is due 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. If booking within 8 weeks of the start of your holiday, full payment is required.
If the booking is cancelled less than 4 weeks prior to the start of your holiday, the payment is non-refundable.
Arrival anytime from 3.00pm on the start date and vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure. Changeover day is Friday. This is flexible in quieter periods.
The property is cleaned on changeover day but if you wish an extra clean during your stay, this can be arranged but will be charged for.
