Named after the small hill behind the house Alice Howe sleeps 14 comfortably in 7 bedrooms, perfect for a large group holiday in the lakes. The house has 2 living rooms so you can put the kids in one and have peaceful adult time in the other! |

The rear walled courtyard enjoys a view to Orrest Head where Alfred Wainwright took his first view of the Lake District - a view that changed his life forever! The courtyard has a huge teak table and chairs perfect for dining alfresco and its surrounding walls mean that it’s usually protected from the wind.

The Terrace is at the heart of the village of Windermere yet secluded in private grounds. There's a great walk from the house to the top of Orrest Head (the hill behind the The Terace) from there you can see virtually the whole of the Lake District. It's a view that changed Alfred Wainwright's (the famous author) life for ever.
