Luxury Cornish Yurts is situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The moors, shrouded in mist and mystery hold abundant clues for those who want to delve into the past. Here, during your holiday in a yurt, you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Cornish countryside when you stay in one of our magical hand crafted luxury yurts made by Tobias Fairlove in Dartington, Devon. Each one is made of coppiced ash and sweet chestnut. The structural poles are hand crafted and the whole Yurt is unique - a careful balance of exactness of design combined with the organic naturalness of a handcrafted product made from sustainable greenwood. We offer self catering holidays in our spacious 18 foot yurts which will sleep up to 4 in comfort [5 if three are small]. |

If you are looking for surf, then head to the North coast. You can try out Watergate Bay where the extreme kite surfers hang out. If you want to really push the boat out, go for breakfast at Jamie Oliver’s ‘Fifteen’, which is situated above the beach café. If you want to have a relaxing day on the beach, head towards Padstow and try out Polzeath, Harlyn Bay or Booby's Bay. There are lots of gardens and estates to visit; Lanhydrock House near Bodmin, the Lost Gardens of Heligan near Mevagissy and the famous Eden project, the ultimate garden of all time! You cannot leave Cornwall without visiting this inspirational place. There are museums: Tate St Ives and The Barbara Hepworth Museum to name but two. The Porthminster Beach Café is a wonderful place to eat in St Ives. Or take the bikes for a ride along the Camel Trail, one of the country’s most popular off road cycle trails. |

Inside we have made every effort to provide you with everything you need to enjoy a really luxurious holiday in a yurt in sumptuous comfort. Each yurt has a king sized double bed with a real mattress, crisp cotton bed linen, topped with warm fleece throws. In addition, there are two single futon style chair beds that can easily be converted into beds for children and a blow up bed or travel cot for very small children. There is ample storage for your personal belongings and all linen is provided, including beach towels. Each yurt also has a woodburning stove. There is a spacious modern kitchen area with fridge, gas hob and oven, dishwasher, and microwave oven. The dining table seats sixteen and there is a comfy couch area, table football, games and books. You have your own (exclusive use) private shower and toilet room, with heated towel rail.

The yurts are situated in a two acre paddock on purpose built circular wooden platforms with a decked area outside each yurt where you can sit and relax, or where you can enjoy a meal. Each yurt has its own table and chairs that you can use inside or outside. Outside the kitchen door is a large decked area with seating where you can sit and eat in good weather. However, in the event of rain, you can shut out the elements and sit inside in the warm and dry and watch the clouds scud by through the large glazed doors which look out over lush Cornish fields.

This is a place where you can still gaze at the night sky on a clear evening and see a vast array of stars in incredible detail because of the lack of light pollution. We recycle all our waste at Little Fursdon. We have also installed solar panels on the roof of the ‘Cow Shed Kitchen’ to provide you with all the free hot water you need for washing and showering and you will also have use of our re-chargeable lanterns which you can charge manually or use our mains supply. All our water is from a bore hole fed from the clear water of Bodmin Moor. We will also supply you with free bikes during your stay so that you can explore Bodmin Moor and the local coastal areas using pedal power.

Rental |
Our weekly bookings run from Friday to Friday. Guests may arrive anytime after 4.00pm on the day of arrival and we ask you to depart by 10am on your day of departure. During mid and low season [excluding all school holiday times] we offer short breaks. A three night short stay runs from Friday - Monday or four night short stay from Monday- Friday. The cost of both these short stay options for 2010 is £195. We reserve the right to change this offer at any time. Only on receipt of the booking form and deposit is the booking secured. An initial payment of 50% of the total cost is due at the time of booking your holiday in a yurt with the balance payable one month before your arrival. Laundry facilities are also provided on site free of charge.

WOW! What a wonderful honeymoon adventure. Everything was perfect.....we don’t want to leave! Evenings by the fire in the cosy yurt was a perfect way to start married life. Adventure highlights include: Kite flying at Watergate Bay, cream tea at ‘The View’ on Whitsand Bay, Bike ride along the Camel Trail to Padstow, a visit to the Eden Project and a drink in front of the fire at the Crow’s Nest Inn.
