The second floor has a twin bedroom which is perfect for children, a spacious master bedroom and a delightful reading room which is accessible from the master bedroom. The cottage is located in a tucked away position within the harbour-side streets of the old town. It is set in the heart of East Looe and is just yards from the sandy beach, the historic harbour, and a good selection of cafes and restaurants and little shops. East Looe is a sprawl of fascinating narrow streets with many medieval buildings. The town is still a working fishing harbour, Cornwall's second busiest, landing some of the freshest fish in the Country, and the port attracts artists and writers who are drawn to the quaint little streets and hidden coves.
The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, oven, grill, microwave, toaster and kettle. The cottage also has laundry facilities including a washing machine, drying rack, iron and ironing board. The single room with its Oriel window, ornament niche with stone reveals and wood lintel is a wonderfully cosy room with exposed beams, built in wardrobe and original early 17th century panelled walls. Adjacent to this, the first of the two doubles also features a rare Oriel window and has beautiful hand crafted furniture that is very much in keeping with the period. Opposite, the second double bedroom has an original Elizabethan panelled wall and an original fireplace. A further climb brings you to a twin room located on the second floor with rustic pine furniture that is perfect for children and adults alike. Beyond this is the spacious master bedroom with a stunning gabled beamed ceiling. This room has a 5ft antique pine double bed, antique stripped pine bedside units, matching double wardrobe, and an easy chair. An unusual reading room is accessible from the master bedroom and you have to climb 3 steps in the wall and then 3 steps down the other side of the hole to this character room which has a gabled ceiling, reading lamp, double aspect window and settee. A real get away from it all room. The house has high quality furnishings throughout, bed linen is the highest quality Egyptian cotton and towels are heavy Turkish cotton. The mattresses are extremely comfortable too. There is a selection of books, games and CDs available for your enjoyment as well as WiFi broadband internet access.
