Roma is set in a tiny hamlet called Sveti Kirin, 10 mins drive from Sovinjak. There is no finer location for a holiday villa in Croatia! The views are the best you will find anywhere in Croatia as it has been built on a hill top with views of the lakes and medieval village tops. The property is only a 15 minute drive from the town of Buzet, but once you arrive there you will feel as if you have left all evidence of town life far behind. It has been designed with luxury as its core value. Everything about Roma, from its interiors, furnishings, views, pool, beds and kitchen facilities is outstanding. The massive 25 metre infinity pool stretches and allows you a view down into the valley below. If you ever wish to leave, some bicycles are provided and you are within minutes of beautiful villages and outstanding restaurants. |

Buzet's clay tennis courts are a short drive away and can be booked in advance. A six-hole golf course and driving range are tucked away in a valley near Motovun. Eighteen hole courses can be found on the eco-friendly Veli Brijun island, or on the Italian border near Trieste. Istria has the largest peninsula in the Adriatic. The coast is a short drive from the villa, and provides opportunities to sail, swim, dive, and sample the very freshest seafood. We provide a bicycle for every guest in each villa, so that you can explore the local hills as a group. There are endless opportunities to walk around these wonderful hills. There is hardly a corner to turn that does not unveil a majestic view. You are just a twenty minute drive from Pula's growing alternative scene which is based in Rojc by Gajeva. Venice is only a two hour trip by boat from the coast. |

The house has 4 double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms plus a twin room with use of a toilet and sink. Should you wish to use any of the double rooms as a twin this is perfectly possible as there are lots of single duvets available and the beds are large! Two bedrooms have french windows onto the pool area and the master bedroom has a huge roof terrace and free-standing bath with views as far as the sea.It has an indoor kitchen on the top floor with an outside terrace, plus an outside kitchen for BBQs and a further table outside by the pool. It has white polished concrete floors, air conditioning throughout, state of the art sound system, TotalTV satellite, modern Italian designer furniture and contemporary lighting. It is a fantastic house for entertaining. There is internet access and ipod docking stations in each bedroom.

The infinity pool also has a 25 meter lap lane, ideal for those wanting to keep fit! It is close to the villa, however, so we would not recommend this property for children who cannot swim. The villa also has private parking for three cars and stands in grounds of around 3/4 acres. There are two outside eating areas, a roof terrace off the kitchen and a covered area off the sitting room, close to the BBQ. There is a table tennis table, bikes for guest use and lots of loungers to sun bathe on. Casa Roma has unbroken views of rolling hills, deep green valleys, a gorgeous lake that sparkles in the sun, and those with eagle eyesight claim they can see Italy on the horizon.

Istria sits in the northwest of Croatia. It has in common with Tuscany beautiful rolling hills on which are perched fabulous medieval towns. Unlike Tuscany and the better known parts of Croatia like the Dalmatian coast, Istria remains blissfully unblemished by the mainstream European tourist trail, which means that it retains its local character throughout the year. Istria's roads are empty and modern, its food is fantastic, and its climate is delightful. The villa is self-catering. However, temptation is never more than a few minutes away. The local restaurants are superb. This is the heart of truffle country. It also gets first pick of seafood fished from the Adriatic. We'll put you in touch with cosy, quiet restaurants, tucked away from the road. We can also arrange for a chef to come and cook for you in your own villa. Each May, Motovun hosts Istria’s annual hot air balloon festival. This isn't just spectacular to watch, but you have the opportunity to take an exhilarating hot air balloon ride over Istria’s wonderful countryside. With its stone buildings and spectacular, unblemished views, Motovun itself could be a film set. In July every year, the town hosts a film festival. This is a five-day film marathon in which screenings run from 10am until 4am, with evening outdoor screenings and daily shows in theatres.

Rental |
During peak season we request that guests stay from Saturday to Saturday. We are able to accommodate shorter stays during off peak months. Pool and bath towels are provided, we request that you bring your own beach towels. The property is cleaned thoroughly in between guests and there is a light mid week clean and towel change.

Fabulous house in a beautiful setting, views to die for. Beautifully furnished , not usual rented house furniture and very comfy beds...the swimming pool ... everybody thought was fab (not overly chlorinated and a great length to get some much needed exercise!).
