One of Rovinj’s principal attractions is its food. A unique blend of Italian and Istrian, with some of the finest seafood you will find anywhere. No piece on eating in Rovinj would be complete without mention of the numerous ice cream parlours around town. It may look slightly synthetic but it tastes fantastic to even the most hardened anti-sweet tooth, and there are enough flavours to keep you coming back for “just another small please” (about 50p). Finally, coffee. Served as espresso it is fabulous quality and, at less than £1 a cup, plentiful. |

The weather in Rovinj is generally warm and sunny. St Katarina island is a two minute boat ride from the small pier. Venezia lines runs ferries to Venice taking about 3 hours direct from Rovinj. One of the best ways to get around is by bike. There are numerous bike hire places all over town at relatively reasonable prices. Alternatively you could hire a boat or a jet ski. Rovinj’s beach is not sandy, but it is quiet and secluded and the water is warm and gently shelving. There is an endless array of vessels offering boat trips. The old town in Rovinj is fully pedestrianised with entry only permitted to licensed taxis, permanent residents, and local authority vehicles. Parking is available in a number of car parks within walking distance of the old town. |

Getting There:
| The closest airport to Rovinj is in Pula—approx 25 minutes away. It is served by Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) on a Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from London Stansted. You can also fly with Ryanair to Trieste (1 1/2 hours away) or Venice Treviso in Italy (2h 45 mins away). Pula is also served by Thomson from Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol and London Gatwick. Easyjet fly to Rijeka from London Luton 4 days a week. Rijeka is about an hour’s drive from Rovinj. From Pula a taxi is the best option. We will be happy to put you in touch with a driver locally who speaks English and will not rip you off. Hiring a car is another option with all the major companies represented at the airports. The centre of Rovinj is pedestrianised to help preserve the wonderful old-world charm, and parking near the centre can be expensive in the summer months. |

Beautifully restored and finished rooms furnished to a high standard with quality linen. Bedroom 1 has king size dark wood bed. Bedroom 2 has king size oak coloured bed. Bedroom 3 has two single beds. All bedrooms have luxury en-suite bathrooms fitted with top end luxury fittings to an incredibly high contemporary standard. Brand new Italian fitted kitchen with high end Gorenje washing machine and all appliances in white gloss finish with dark worktops. Huge communal living space with lounge and through dining room. Huge L shaped sofa with coffee table and designer lighting throughout. Top end flat screen TV, a Sony PS2 and even a Bose soundock for your Ipod - or you can use ours if you prefer! All super heavy luxury towels and linen are included. Maid service is once a week – although we can arrange cleaning while you are there at extra cost. 24 hour emergency assistance by our local representative.

The terrace is the undoubted star of 5C. It is simply enormous for Rovinj (one of the biggest in the old town) and overlooks the harbour at one end, and the old town at the other. It is furnished with a table comfortably seating six, and providing a wonderful place to take breakfast or watch the sun go down with a glass of wine. Sunbathing on the terrace is extremely private should you prefer to stay close to home comforts rather than go to the beach.

Day trips to Pula, Motovun, and Rijeka are 30, 45 and 60 minutes away respectively by car. Pula is the largest city in Istria and remains a large naval base today. Much of the old town is over 2000 years old and it is home to the amazing amphitheatre. Motovun is an artisan citadel sitting atop the highest point around. Visible from many miles away it’s a wonderful place to spend a day. Rijeka has great shopping at City Tower, and the old town is as beautiful as any in Croatia. One of the many National Parks and a UNESCO World Heritage site Plitvice Lakes is a stunning collection of 16 interlinked lakes which are the most incredible turquoise colour. 4 hours drive from Rovinj and worth every second when you arrive.

Pricing is per week excluding tourist tax (payable locally). Bookings from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise agreed. Shorter periods may be available on request. Deposit 30% on booking. Balance prior via bank transfer. A refundable security deposit of €250 is payable with final payment. Tourist tax rates apply.

I just wanted to write to tell you how much we all enjoyed our holiday in Rovinj. It truly is a lovely and charming town with plenty to see and discover. You are very lucky to have such a lovely property there. We absolutely loved the apartment. It was so spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect with great views from the terrace. The ensuites to each room are a wonderful luxury and enabled us all to be ready and get out on time. The beds were very comfortable, we all had great sleep especially with the air con keeping the rooms cool as it took a while for us to get used to the heat. It was very clean on arrival and your agent was very kind and helpful. The taxi contact was brilliant too, he was there before we arrived and collected us on time, all for a good price.

The apartment was first class – great location, and all arrangements seemed to go very smoothly.
