Holiday rentals in Sofia & Mountains
Sofia is a city of history, culture and beautiful scenery. Our holiday rentals in this area offer a flavour of traditional Bulgaria, whether they are in the city centre or tucked away in the snow-capped mountains. Sofia itself is the capital of Bulgaria and dates back over 7000 years so there is no shortage of history to explore! Evidence of times gone by remains in the form of ancient town walls and prehistoric excavations. Sofia was originally built around a mineral spring which incredibly is still at the centre of the present city. The stunning collection of architecture in the city is another reason to choose this part of Bulgaria for your holiday rentals. The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Palace of Justice are just two of the many old but well maintained monuments. The ancient buildings mingle with theatres and museums so holiday rentals here truly are heaven for culture vultures!

More about your Sofia & Mountains holiday...
The other major attraction of Sofia is its location at the foot of the mountains. There are attractive parks in the city itself but for a real taste of fresh Bulgarian air look no further than holiday rentals up on Vitosha Mountain. Rising 1800 metres above sea level it offers unrivalled views over the city below it and the surrounding countryside. Though the weather is unpredictable this does mean that Vitosha can offer a range of activities to its visitors. The skiing conditions are excellent in the spring and the mountain has 6 ski runs of varying difficulty. If you are looking at holiday rentals in the summer there are caves to crawl through, rocks to climb and trails to hike. Central Sofia and Vitosha are a matter of kilometres from one another so whichever you choose as your holiday rental base, the other is easily and regularly accessible so if you so choose you can fit culture, sport and relaxation into one break!
