For fifteen years we have been living in and renting our two farmhouses (Fincas) in south east Mallorca. One house is called Es Pins and accommodates 10 guests, our other house C'an Bassa Coll takes 11. All bedrooms are ensuite. Our guests holiday in beautiful, unspoilt countryside, dotted with small villages, amidst fields of almond, olive and fruit trees enclosed by old dry stone walls. Sheep bells and birdsong are magical holiday sounds here. Look south from the terrace of either house to the Mediterranean with two, large sandy beaches just 10 minutes away by car. Turn around to the dramatic mountains of the Sierre Levante and the tiny monastery of the Consolacio. Our farmhouses are situated on either side of the unspoilt hill village of Alqueria Blanca (population 800), with its charming village square, friendly bar, local shops and restaurants. Antiques, ancient wood beams, thick stone walls and spacious, cool interiors. |

Set in the Mallorcan countryside, near the small traditional hilltop village of S'Alqueria Blanca. We have a brilliant range of restaurants 10 to 15 minutes from either house in villages and surrounding countryside. Also, we have a great selection in the harbour village of Porto Petro, or within the resort of Cala d'Or, the nearby marina, or the resort. Guests can walk very easily from C'an Bassa Coll, to the nearby Campo Restaurant where children are very welcome and you can dine outside on the terrace. From Es Pins, another easy walk reaches Alqueria Blanca where the Italian 'Bacco' Restaurant provides great food. Before or afterwards, the nearby 'Bar Nou' offers a large selection of drinks in the village square. The beaches at Cala Mondrago (10 minutes drive) and Cala Sanau both slope gradually into the sea. Most beaches offer sunbeds and fixed beach umbrellas for daily hire. There are beach bars offering cold drinks and meals. |

Es Pins sleeps ten in three doubles and two twins. All with ceiling fans and en-suite bathrooms. 4 bedrooms with portable air-con units. There is a fully fitted farmhouse kitchen. The large lounge/dining room with old beamed ceiling has a table to seat 10, and a separate area with sofa and easy chairs. Access to terrace. Coffee table. Music centre. CDs and tapes. Bookshelves and books. Music Room - the elegant music room has an original tiled floor, satellite TV/DVD and doors leading to the patio. Can Bassa Coll has three doubles, two twins and one single bedroom, as well as four bathrooms. There is a well equipped kitchen. The main living room has a comfortable sofa and chairs. CD, Radio and tape player, tapes and TV/DVD. Both kitchen and living room have a door to terrace and pool. Snug library room with a log burning stove and our collection of books. Old, open fireplace.

Each house is set in more than 5 acres of gardens and farmland with mountain and sea views, almond, citrus and fig trees. There's living space outside as well and lots of garden furniture, as well as a BBQ at each house. Here our guests enjoy mature Mediterranean gardens , large swimming pools, fountains, terraces with sun and shade, garden walks, grapes, oranges and lemons. The pool at Es Pins is 15m x 5m and at Can Bassa Coll is 13m x 4m. Two of the bedrooms at Es Pins have their own terrace, and there is a further pool terrace, a garden house, table tennis, and three shaded parking places within the main gates. Can Bassa Coll has one large terrace and again, parking within the grounds.

We welcome children and offer cots, high chairs, and a playpen. Both pools have steps and good shallow ends but do not have any fences or gates around them. We have a resident couple, who look after our guests. They will clean each house three times weekly. Change linen and towels weekly. Clean the pools every other day. Ensure the gardens are watered, lawns cut, and sun loungers ready for use. If you require babysitting, this can be provided (at additional cost). They can also cook meals if you would like (again, at additional cost).

Rental fee includes: Weekly bed linen and towel service Electricity, gas, water, central heating Pool and garden maintenance 3x weekly maid service/cleaning Services of our local agents Excludes: Full maid/Cook service, Travel and car hire costs and insurance. These can be provided on request at extra cost. Deposit is 25% of total cost. The balance is due eight weeks before departure. Cancellation: If you have to cancel your booking we apply charges on a scale in line with all major travel/rental companies, according to the amount of notice you are able to give. We had such a wonderful holiday at your house. C'an Bassa Coll has a happy and welcoming spirit about it. The whole place is so well thought out and beautifully planned. I loved all the little extra touches from the rack full of straw hats and the wonderful bowl of lemons to the complimentary wine (thank you).
The view from the terrace is stunning and well framed by the palms - the little black gate in the wall gives an invitation to walk beyond the garden.
I cannot recommend the house highly enough - I was very sad to leave.
Thank you for providing such a delightful retreat. It was a privilege to stay there and I'm so glad I found your website - all was as promised.

I've been meaning to drop you a line for weeks - not sure what happened to June. I just wanted to say what an absolutely wonderful week we had at Es Pins - and thank you for all your help with the arrangements and for building such a stunning villa!
We loved the homely and spacious character of the house and the beautifully landscaped gardens. You seem to have thought of the every need of your guests - which is no mean feat - and we felt so at home that we couldn't really summon up the energy to go on excursions, except to pick up our fresh bread each morning! It was also great to be somewhere so child friendly - my nephews were in their element with so much space, and with the lovely Editha to give them cuddles.
One week wasn't nearly long enough. We're already planning our return trip..... !

I am writing on behalf of my whole family to let you know how delighted we were with our recent visit to C'an Bassa Col. To find the lovely finca behind those big gates was exciting enough but we all gasped at the beautiful view as we opened the doors from the kitchen to the terrace. We could hardly believe that view was to be ours for a whole week!
Editha was charming and very helpful and, when our children asked her to prepare a meal for my husband's birthday evening, she brought us the most delicious paella.
This was a special holiday for us all, as it was the first time we had all been able to spend time together since our granddaughter was born. We were so glad to be all together in your wonderful house. Thank you..."
