Otter Creek Tents comprise 3 exclusive, comfortable tents in a magical retreat called ‘Elsewhere’. With big, comfortable beds and separate Western-style bathrooms, this is ‘camping’ at its most luxurious. Each of the tents has its own sit-out looking out over the waters of the creek and there can be no more relaxing a spot for breakfast or a drink under the stars. The tents are also right on one of the safest and most beautiful beaches in Goa. Accessible only by a bamboo bridge, this is the ultimate escape. ‘Elsewhere’ is ideal for nature lovers and bird watchers, beach holidays, couples, families and anyone looking for peace and tranquillity and a holiday with a difference. |

The former Portuguese colony of Goa lies on the West Coast of India. The road follows the Chapora River downstream through fishing hamlets before turning north. From here it winds through fields full of rice, chillies and onions before climbing on to the plateau giving breathtaking views of the beach and ocean. A few kilometres further on you drop down and follow the shoreline until a Creek forces the road to turn inland. Here amidst that wonderful view lies ‘Elsewhere’. Goa has plenty to see and nearby there are lots of beaches, restaurants, shops, and fascinating places to explore. |

Getting There:
| For your guidance, we are located in North Goa, about 30 minutes’ drive from Calangute, Baga or Panjim, 20 minutes’ drive from Mapuca, and about 45 minutes’ drive from Old Goa. A little over an hour's drive away from Goa's Dabolim Airport BUT our exact location is a bit of a secret, purely to protect the privacy of our resident guests. It's best to make a prior booking after which we will either give you directions or arrange transport for you. You can fly directly into Goa by Chartered flights which come from the UK, Germany, Finland, and a few other countries. There are also a few scheduled flights which fly in directly to Goa from the Middle East. Alternatively, you could fly in to Bombay (Mumbai) or Delhi on a scheduled flight (British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, Air France, Alitalia etc) and then take a domestic flight to Goa.

Each of the tents has a double four poster bed, and a clean Western-style bathroom with running water and hot showers. Everything you would expect from a hotel, yet in such a wonderfully remote setting. They also have refrigerated minibars, kettles and coffee machines for complementary tea/coffee, WiFi internet access (in the dining shack), and towels and linen which are changed regularly. The furnishings are gorgeous, the facilities thoughtful, and the views unbeatable.

Outside each tent is a sit-out which overlooks the creek and a bamboo jetty which takes you right out over the water. This is heaven for nature and wildlife lovers! And right on your doorstep you have the sights, sounds and smells of the ocean. ‘Elsewhere’ is run like a small hotel and there is a lovely dining shack where meals are served and you pay for what you order at the end of your stay. And if there is a large group of you, we have 4 beautiful beach houses available on site – with tents and houses together we can accommodate up to 26 people.

Facilities include housekeeping facilities, refrigerator, kettles and coffee machines for complimentary tea/coffee, day and night watchmen, free WiFi and a laundry service. Towels and linen are changed regularly and all tents have electric mosquito repellants. 'Elsewhere' can provide a car and driver (at an extra charge) so that you have the freedom to visit different beaches and in the evenings sample the many restaurants around North Goa. Shopping is easy too - with the driver to help on where to go and what to buy. If you want to explore, your driver is a knowledgeable guide and can show you not only the usual sights but also the ones outside the well-trodden tourist routes. The tents will be closed from May 16th till October 14th for the monsoon season.

Rental |
The Otter Creek Tents are normally rented for a minimum period of one week, however, we can be flexible depending on our booking situation. Once your booking has been confirmed and your credit card has been debited there can be no cancellations or refunds. Please note that the road ends about 30 metres from the creek and there is a short walk between a couple of village houses, across a bamboo bridge and along a sandy track, so sensible shoes are a must. The bridge, although strong and sturdy, is constructed from bamboo and around 60 metres long and may be a little daunting for those nervous of heights. ‘Elsewhere’ is therefore not a good choice for those with mobility difficulties.

Thank you for the most amazing Goan experience. Elsewhere is a slice of Heaven on Earth. A beautiful, natural, peaceful, secret heaven to truly unwind, relax and close your mind to all of life's unimportant stress. Everything has been perfect, the house (you were lucky I haven't stolen the furniture, bedspreads, pots!) is stunning by electric light and romantic candle light. Vinod and everyone has made everything so welcoming. The delicious fish and addictive pancakes! The only downside is that we are only here for a week but for sure we will be back with friends to share it all with. Thank you and see you next year.
