One-Off Feature

In the heart of beautiful Bali, which is commonly known as the ‘Island of the Gods’, you will find a cluster of lavish safari tents and cabins, where nature and luxury meet. Come and enjoy style and comfort in an unforgettable setting.

General Info

Sandat is made up of five safari tents and three ‘Lumbung’ cabins, all of which are eco-friendly, comfortable, highly luxurious, and cleverly blended with their natural surroundings. The interiors are an elegant intermingling of Eastern and Western styles, with unusual pieces of original Balinese art and furniture throughout, and yet each tent and cabin has its own personality. The views over the gardens and the nearby fields of vegetation are nothing short of sensational, and the atmosphere is wonderfully tranquil and soothing. If you’re looking for a place to relax and recharge in beautiful surroundings, you’ve found it.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

The Sandat Glamping site is located near Ubud, a town in central Bali, and if you want to experience traditional Balinese culture then this is the place to do it. There are temples and historic sites to discover, rice paddies, coconut groves and mountains to explore, and traditional experiences to enjoy, like dance and music shows and local cuisine. You could visit the Ubud Monkey Forest and visit one of the town’s fine art museums, or you could climb Mount Batur or practise yoga. Bali is a feast for the senses.

Accommodation Details

Interior Details
Each safari tent can accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children in unique and comfortable beds – whether that’s a round bed, an inlaid wooden bed or a handcrafted bamboo bed. The tents are furnished with wrought iron lamps, crystal chandeliers and cabinets made by local craftsmen, and the spotless lava stone and ceramic bathrooms enjoy superb views over the gardens. The Lumbung cabins, carefully converted from traditional local buildings, are made exclusively with local and ecological materials and are each set over two floors. On the ground floor there is a living area furnished with antiques, traditional wooden sofas and light curtains, and an open-air bathroom. On the first floor is the bedroom, with a magnificent window, and the total area is about 60sqm.

Exterior Details
Each safari tent sits within a private tropical garden, with a 5m x 3m pool which overlooks a forest of coconut palms. The tents are built on solid wood platforms which serve as terraces where you can sip a cool drink and watch the sunsets. The cabins dominate the camp from the highest terrace, with spectacular views over forest and rice fields, and they also have a 3m x 8m pool, surrounded by sun loungers and shaded by palm trees and Balinese umbrellas.

Further Details
All tents and cabins are equipped with air-conditioning, a mini fridge, an iPod dock, an internal phone service and a Wi-Fi connection. Linen, bathrobes and towels (including for the swimming pool) are also included.

Conditions of Rental
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is midday. Room rates are subject to 21% government tax and service.
